She's such a wonderful friend. I've had rubbish couple of years and she's totally been there for me.

She's bought me a lovely silver necklace (I know because she sent me photos of 2 to choose between and one had a prices tag on-£80)

Trouble is, I can't afford that! So I need super thoughtful ideas instead.

She likes
Cooking
Drinking
Playing cards and games
Glamour/make up
She reads a little bit
Her kitchen

I searched luxury gifts for her on the TX Maxx site for under £25 and these were the results.

Beautiful leather bound classic books (Little Women, Shakespeare’s works, Fitzgerald), cashmere scarves, wool gloves, Pearl earrings, there’s a couple of Burberry perfumes for £25 that retail for £60 and a travel kit perfume set from Miller Harris for £12.99. I might just get that last one for someone on my list... I love their stuff. I saw a Miller Harris candle by Jane Birkin in store recently for £25 and snapped it up... it smells like a lovely Diptyque candle that costs twice as much.

On a separate note, has the Selfridges website been hacked or just a bad joke by a leaving staff member?!

I bought my friend a tiny bowl, a trinket bowl for about £30.
It was made by a local artist. So it was unique, a one off. Small but beautiful.

TK Max is your friend

Not sure if the website working, but it's basically personalised family print, cost around £30 and in my opinion very personal and lovely gift, something what you can get only from friend or family members.🤔🙂

StrawberryFizz26 it’s no good for just 2 people unfortunately - it’s a great game when you’ve got a few friends over, we play it with 6-8 people usually, although it’s flexible.

I'd make her up a thoughtful box.

Bake her a cake or some Christmas treats.
Go to Tiger and pick up some games, cards and/or kitchen bits and bobs.
Go to Hobby Craft and do a pick and mix on stationary items
A nice bottle of wine
Go to your local Oxfam Bookshop if you have one and pick out some well kept cook books or novels.

Magazine subscription and perhaps a basket of cooking goodies

A personalised photo recipe book. So- photo of you/ her at Christmas, Christmas themed recipe; photo at bbq, bbq themed recipe; photo at picnic/ birthday etc

Make up a pamper basket with a face mask, nail stuff, bottle of wine etc with an invitation to a pamper evening where you will apply her face mask for her, give her a manicure and pedicure etc using the stuff in the basket. It'll turn into a boozy experience treat for you both.

If you have a cashmere jumper that you don't wear, if you send it to Turtle Doves they will send you a pair of lucky dip fingerless gloves for the price of postage.

Or you can get a pair via their friend offer.

You can't choose the colour but they do their best if you let them know what sort of thing you're after. I asked for cobalt and black and got Turquoise and black. Not had.

Look under offers on their website.

They're lovely.
