I thought this would have been done to death, but had a quick look but couldn't find anything, so if I have missed it please feel free to point me in the right direction.

I have done chocolate sleighs a couple times but can't really get away with doing it again.
DS has a teacher and TA. DD has 1 teacher, a TA, plus another teacher who fills in for normal teacher a couple times a week.
We then have another lady who has been wonderful with the dc and would love to get her something.

I have a limited budget. But I do have a hot glue gun and a bunch of mason jar drinking glasses with straws, if I could use them.
I was thinking of buying them all insulated cups, and throwing in some hot chocolate sachets but they all have cups already.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. The teachers are fab and the DC love them, they will both do a handmade card with message but was looking for a little extra.

Thanks in advance.

In a situation like this, I would email the rest of the class and suggest an collection with a £5 throw in. That way you can get a decent sum and split it between all of them. £5 may seem like a lot but its the cost of one gift and this way everyone gets a little something. Don't stress out about the gift either - book token for the main ones, nice wine for the rest.

What's the sort of budget? Milton brown do cute baubles (filled with shower gel) with gift box, message and free delivery at the moment £10 each.

What about a home made Christmas decoration? Made by your children.

Or something for their classroom? Like a new book?

I know you have chosen to, but I thought I'd add, that we don't do teacher gifts. We do cards made by the children instead.

NotTheMrMenAgain · 15/11/2018 13:44

Since there's quite a few to buy for I'd use the drinking jars you've already got - put a Baileys miniature and one of those 'block of chocolate on a stick' things for making hot chocolate inside each one. Get relevant DC to make or colour in a little tree decoration, tie it to the jar with festive ribbon around the top - job's a guddun? And not too expensive.

Making some biscuits ??
Just a heartfelt card would be good ...

Regarding the insulated cups- I feel like you can never have enough! I’m always leaving mine in my car or outside somewhere. Love the idea of a Baileys mini and a chocolate straw.

We do a whip around at our school. It’s optional to contribute but the majority of parents say they prefer it to buying gifts. €5 is the suggested amount but it’s whatever you like really. Just takes someone to get the ball rolling and organize it.

Hot chocolate sachets without cups can be bought in Poundland. Maybe some marshmallows too?

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 15/11/2018 18:09

Great ideas thanks. I would love for to get together with other parents but, tbh I don't think many, if any do gifts for teachers, and I don't even know most of the parents.
I like to shop, so I love buying gifts.
I may, opt for the travel cups, at £3 each they are amazing, I have one. Maybe fill with a Baily's mini ( depending on which of them drink Baily's) a hot chocolate stick, and a £5 Costa card.
The budget would be about £10 each, but I will pick up bits here and there so I wouldn't include stuff like the Baily's mini, any chocolate stick as I would pick them up with food shop.
Thank you.

Teacher here, a card and thanks for whatever difference they have made to your kids is the best present ever.

Nicpem1982 · 16/11/2018 12:11

We have done a hamper filled with biscuits, chocolates and a range of hotdrinks that goes in the staff room a week before the end of term so everyone can share then we did handmade cards with a nice message for each of dds teachers

Pinkprincess1978 · 16/11/2018 12:17

Moat years I buy cheap white mugs and give the kids sharpies and they decorated the mug (I then put it in a hot oven for about 15 mins to set it). We fill with a handful of chocolates as well. It's gone down well in the past. But then I'm trying to do presents on a budget. £10 per staff member is way more than I can afford.

I have also had the children make personalised felt key rings and decorated canvas shopper bags in the past too.

SimplyPut · 16/11/2018 13:30

Most in the class contribute £5 and we get a voucher and a Christmas decoration from all the children. Pop it in a box with a card from each child.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 16/11/2018 14:09

I do a bottle of proseco with a Christmas bauble hung around the neck. I did consider trying to rally a couple of other mums and do a hamper of staff room treats to see them through December
