Easy but effective craft kit for 9 year old

My ds is 9 and dyspraxic and struggles with cutting and anything really fiddly. Including painting - his last attempt at painting a plaster figure was horrific.
He likes to make things but is often disappointed by the result and gets upset.

The craft sets he might be able to do are generally too young.
Has anyone found a good but easy craft kit that could be suitable for his age? It doesn’t matter if it only takes a few minutes, it just needs to be easy and effective.
Thanks.

It might be too young but have you seen toucan box? It's a complete kit that comes through the post with all or most of the bits pre cut and more of an assembly job. Mine love it but they are 7 1/2.

The Baker Ross sewing kits are fab for this age - almost instant gratification . Will prob buy the stocking ones as they can be hung on the tree which my dd will love www.bakerross.co.uk/christmas-stocking-sewing-kits-1

Meant to say - the sewing should hopefully not be too fiddly as it is pre holed and is threading.

How about marbling inks?

Would he prefer Lego?

Or could he make slime?

Another option could be mosaics with torn coloured paper squares and make into pretty pictures.

How about a plush craft pillow from Orb factory. It’s a bit like colour by numbers only with pieces of fabric to push through the numbered holes.

My daughter really enjoyed this but it wasn’t something she completed in one sitting. Looked fab when complete and she gets a nice cushion for her room.

What about decoupage? It really doesn’t matter if it’s done messily and there are tons of different shape models to choose from as well as tons of different papers. You could rip the paper for him, although he could do that himself too possibly as they really don’t need to be exact pieces - just small.

Are there any particular things he is into - cars, dinosaurs, vikings, animals are all models I have seen in Hobbycraft. Also boxes and alphabet letters.

I'd highly recommend the Toucan box. We get one a month but you can up your subscription. My son loves it.
