Wobbel board

I'm thinking of getting my dc a Wobbel board. Are they worth it? I don't want to pay a lot of money for it to end up in the corner, never played with.

I've got one... it only comes out at parties now, the novelty wore off pretty quickly when I realised how bad I was at it Grin I got it second hand on ebay to help my surfing so it wasn't expensive.

We got one last Christmas for our then 2 year old. He's 3 nearly 4 now and uses it now and again. He likes to use it as a bridge with his Brio trains and to stand his toy soldiers on but was it worth the money? Honestly no, it wasn't.

Doesn't sound great then. Thanks for the reply's

I'm getting one for my 18 month old who climbs on everything.

We have a teeter popper, it still comes out now my son is 8 but he is autistic. It’s beem great for his balance and sensory issues though.

Thanks for posting this OP. I hadn't even questioned it and was going to get DC one each as their main present. Think I'll save the money now!

I have one for my will be 11month old this Christmas. I suspect it will be taken over by the 4yr old though. Reviews depend on where you look... lots of places like Babipur, ConciousCraft, Babame etc review very highly

LiquoricePickle · 09/11/2018 00:39

It really does depends on where you look. Everyone I know who had one raves about it.

whipstitchandwhiskey · 09/11/2018 09:49

I think they look great, but then I thought the Bilibo (round bowl thingy with handles) looked fab and it’s hardly been played with, despite my DD loving open ended toys like bits of material, blocks etc. Also it’s too wide for our toy cupboard and too big to fit in an Ikea Kallax cube, so pretty annoying really!!! Went a bit off topic there, but just consider where you would store the wobbel board when not in use/if it’s not popular. No problem if you’ve got a big house/playroom, but massively annoying if not!!

SleepySofa · 09/11/2018 18:50

We got DS one last xmas and the novelty has definitely worn off. I’m considering selling it tbh. But I’m hoping he might rediscover it in the summer when I can put it in the lawn.

SleepySofa · 09/11/2018 18:52

NB ours was a jackalilly, similar but made by a local British maker who allows you to customise it, and it was ouch cheaper than a wobbel - it was £70 I think.

Interested to hear about yours @frecklefox Do you have a wooden/bamboo Wobbel or a plastic Wobble board? With you saying you aren't good at it makes me wonder if you have one of the plastic ones with a ball from the 90's or the same type the Op is talking about. I'm not sure how you could be bad at a Wobbel.

We have one and it's great 🙂 My kids (4, 6 and 9) play with it all the time xx
