Christmas meat - space in oven

Usually I cook a turkey crown on Christmas Eve and a leg of lamb on Christmas Day and serve both at lunch. This year I’d like to cook turkey crown on Christmas Day as well as lamb so they can’t both be served warm. I use an oval roasting tin with the lid onfor the lamb which takes up most of my oven. How do I cook the turkey too? How do you all manage?

We use a slow cooker for the turkey. I'm vegaterian so can't comment myself but I've had lots of comments on how juicy and succulent it turns out. Frees up lots of room in the oven! We switch it on first thing in the morning, leave it for 4 hours then just before serving we put it in the oven for 10-20 minutes just to give it a lovely crispy skin. Hth [santa]

How long will the lamb take/ how well done do you cook it? I rest the turkey for 30-40 minutes and do the veg and roasties. Assuming you will have seared the lamb on a pan to start, could you finish it off while the turkey rests?

I'd definitely use a slow cooker for one of the meats. Lamb is lovely in the SC, but if you prefer to do that in the oven, I'd put a turkey crown in the slow cooker.

We cook lamb in the slow cooker - covered in mint sauce on low for about 8 hours, the only way i'll cook it now as it's amazing!

Thanks for the suggestions. I think the slow cooker is a brilliant option. Will cook the turkey crown in it and presumably can keep it in there until ready to serve?
