What would be on your Christmas list?

My family have decided to entirely take the thought out of gift-buying at Christmas this year and revert back to childhood by all writing Christmas lists. We do secret Santa amongst my siblings/cousins/partners, so it gives everyone something to go on (and there's less risk of what happens every year of buying someone something they love but bought themselves a month previously etc).

I need a bit of inspiration, though. So far I only have books and a face mask!

l'occitane hand cream (my hands are always a mess)
some nice gin
a Bobbi Brown lipstick I want that is £28 and I can't really justify buying it for myself
the new Tom Odell album, on old school vinyl (which hopefully also has digital download)
nice scented candles (I like Paddywax)
lots of books

But I think I'm easy to buy for!

A cookery course in Lisbon (well, two actually - fish and pastry, both of which I really want to master)

Really hard isn't it?

I don't use smellies, don't like candles, don't wear make up except mascara (Superdrug own label). My face cream is cheap and I wouldn't appreciate a more expensive one. Ditto perfume. Don't like jewellery. Not interested in handbags. Scarves and gloves make me too hot! Same with cashmere jumper. Don't like ornaments (dust collectors) but keep the ones MIL bought on display. So she buys more Hmm.

However I'm sick to death of cooking so maybe a subscription to one of those healthy ready made meals?

Always love coffee or a meal out.

Love going out for the day or away for the weekend but don't do it often.

.... And the back garden desperately needs doing.

Last year I got an Ancestry subscription: I might get that again.

My hobbies are
penpalling
reading
cross stitch
rock painting
amoung other things!!!

So my ideal Christmas list would include:
postage stamps
pretty stationary & envelopes
acrylic paint-perhaps vouchers from The Range!!
Amazon vouchers for cross stitch things, paperback books, kindle books
Clinique Happy Perfume
I`m sure there are loads of other things that I could list, but these are my fave things to receive as presents[santa][santa][santa]

MissMarplesKnitting · 23/10/2018 21:42

Some new earrings. Just silver stud ones. I've lost some this year and I'm cross about it.
A good book or two.
Bravissimo vouchers for guilt free undie shopping.
Converse trainers

AnniEAnonIMouse · 24/10/2018 00:15

Is there a budget?

I love surprises, for me that’s generally the best bit, however, if everyone is doing lists then I’d only put things they really couldn’t go wrong with as I really hate waste (& clutter).

Beautiful (Estee Lauder) body lotion, shower gel, soap.
Cashmere socks (pink, white, grey)
Wrendale Designs A5 Diary
Wrendale Designs Gratitude Journal
Wrendale Designs Hairbrained Tea Towel
Wrendale Designs Teaspoons
Set of Clover Amour Crochet Hooks (not in case)
Mini bottles of flavoured Gin
(Vegetarian) Cheese box (sub)
Cannon Camera magazine (sub)

...all things I could/will buy myself, but nice to receive as a gift 🎁
