...to make them more appealing?
My oh said the other day that we only seem to have sprouts on Christmas day. Yes, well... I am not a fan, but I know some people (including him) love them. A friend was telling me how they do them with chestnuts, which sounds good. Have you got a special way of serving them so they appeal to all?

I buy a brussel sprout tree so they last better and I can cook as many/few as I need. My guinea-pigs eat the stem after but even they turn their tiny little snouts up at the peelings .
They know a thing or two about veg so you should listen to them Xmas Wink

Putrid evils balls of bile spat hot from the burning coals of hell. My imaginary dictionary definition of sprouts

Yes I've heard about the genetic thing too; some people find sprouts bitter, that coriander tastes of soap etc. Also some people's pee smells strange after eating asparagus but not others. I think the spouts = bitter people are never going to like them frankly!

Omg sprouts fried in olive oil and garlic. So delicious.

My grandmother was Italian and this was how she did them. Boil the sprouts then fry in olive oil and garlic, till the outer leaves go a bit brown and crispy.

So good.

Halved, fried with chopped bacon, mixed with cream frache and grated parmasan - even my nephew who dislikes them when his mum does them will ask for more but they are yummy

Caraway cabbage and sprouts. Cabbage shredded, sprouts, caraway seeds, linguine and vegetable stock. Cooked in a pan. I think it’s a riverford recipe. It’s bloody marvellous! Filling but quite light for a pasta dish.
