Teen gifts

I have no idea what to give DD2 (14) as a main gift this year.

She has no requests, she is very girly, very academic and can have a lark like a young one and be as serious as can be when discussing current affairs so a real mixed bag.

Already has the tech she needs, got a decent camera last year, doesn't like clothing gifts blah blah.

Budget about £100

Any ideas?

It doesn’t sound terribly exciting but our dd has asked for a bank account with a card so that she can draw money out when she is out and about with her friends. That will be her main present as we’ll put money in it and then get some smaller presents to open on the day. She mainly wants practical stuff, bag, earrings, jumper, body shop set.

I also have a DD (14) and she too doesn't have particular ideas for presents, and not really into clothes as presents per se. She has asked for new duvet sets and wants a really soft fluffy rug which will probably cost around £100 so would you'd DD like a rug?
One year we added a floor length mirror to her wardrobe door which went down really well as she dances and wanted to stretch in front of it on a yoga mat. Also a squashy beanbag another year.

What about a make up lesson at a Mac counter? It costs about £50 but you get to redeem that on products after the lesson. Just book it at any Mac counter.

Thanks everyone. Problem is she has just had a birthday so ideas get used up on that, you'd think I'd have learnt by now lol!!! I think we will end up by getting her lots of bits and pieces that I know she will love rather than a main gift.

Good hair straighteners? Or one of the new Babyliss Big Hair or whatever they're called (everyone seems to rave about them, they're about £75).

Or nice skincare like Clarins or Clinique?

A Young Driver driving experience.

Zoo Keeper for a Day experience.

If she doesn't have a single large item in mind, then I would go down the few smaller items route. IME teens still enjoy the excitement of opening multiple presents.
My DD loves her snuggly throw which she uses when watching TV or reading, which she got at similar age to your DD and still uses many years later (reminding myself a new one might be an idea!) If she wears makeup, a mascara and eyemakeup pallet (with eye makeup remover and cotton wool pads). Then a book she'd enjoy relating to current affairs maybe? Ie a variety of things which acknowledge her varied interests (she sounds fab by the way)
