Anyone got any ideas on Christmas gifts for clients max £40 each. We've done sweet trees, hampers, pens & flowers so far. We're looking for some outside the box ideas, all ideas much appreciated.

What sort of clients? I'm big on social responsibility so a donation to a charity group for those less fortunate over the festive period would be appreciated by me although I'd miss the box of wine as I take the bottles to various hosts over Xmas

Surely it depends on your business. Beautician - "pamper packs" totally appropriate; consultancy specialising in careers advice for women trying to get back into STEM careers - "pamper packs" likely to get you into the news for all the wrong reasons.

Also depends on your client base - I'm a public servant and would not be allowed to accept gift from a supplier/partner organisation. (Obviously private sector is different - though the Alex cartoons in the Guardian have a running gag on the impact of MFID on corporate hospitality in banking)

Early morning brain fart - Alex is in the Telegraph

It's the private sector so fine and is a HR Consultancy.

£40 is quite a lot. We (financial sector) have a compliance policy that we shouldn't accept presents over £10 value, everything above needs to be ok-ed by the head of department and logged in a "present book". Also, it can be deemed inappropriate by compliance if it is too private like "pampering hampers" and then we have to auction it off.

We send out chocolate advent calendars (bit boring but we heard loved by the recipient) and one department does hampers with tea and biscuits. So basically consumable and shareable. Our group once got a huge Hotel Chocolate box and we were told to share.

ForTheLoveOfGrace · 09/10/2018 15:37

Agreed it is a lot but it's only 8 main clients
And has been done this way for years. Not sure a chocolate advert calendar has been done before it might be a nice novelty idea. Any others ideas?

Try Biscuiteers? They do some lovely Christmas tins of beautifully iced biscuits and I think they can do corporate specials too

ajandjjmum · 09/10/2018 15:48

Perfume/Aftershave. We often gift these and are appreciated - either used or re-gifted.
Small hamper.
One of the most popular gifts we have given over the years are personalised Christmas cakes - as in 'Happy Christmas from all at XXX'. Shared by all in client's office, and loved!

Butterflycookie · 09/10/2018 15:57

Expensive candle?

Goldenphoenix · 09/10/2018 16:07

A gin advent calendar or beer Advent Calendar always goes down well. Maximum impact too as clients usually receive your gift before other corporate gifts

Ooh some good ones thanks. Anymore? I need to present a list of options. Thanks all.

One year, we got sent a gorgeous glass blown bauble from a client. It comes out every year for the tree and is really gorgeous.

SimplyPut · 11/10/2018 11:29

I think you will struggle to get luxury advent calendar for £40. Just ordered a Hotel Chocolat and it was almost £70.

I work in 3rd sector but companies we use send Christmas gifts... my favourites have been;
Champagne and 2 champagne saucers
Luxury chocolates
Lush festive selection wrapped in a scarf
Flowers
Arran aromatics candle selection in a gorgeous tin

My least favourite was the flavoured tea hamper.

You know your clients but I would steer away from alcohol. Lots of people don’t drink nowadays. If you only know someone on a professional level you might not know whether they were Muslim for example.

BlueNeighbourhood · 11/10/2018 13:38

What about some lovely stationary from Paperchase? Like a couple of good 2019 diaries and two really nice pens or something like that? All wrapped in a presentation box

papaverhezena · 19/11/2018 15:26

I actually have a small company that helps with this sort of thing as I always found is so hard to think of unique ideas. The pre-filled boxes might be slightly out of budget but you can also fill you own box according to your budget. Do have a look and let me know if you would like any more info - www.aeskelondon.com/collections/gift-boxes x

Thanks Papaver

Swizzels Retro Sweet tubs?
Grocery hamper?
Soap and glory gift sets

PunkAssMoFo · 19/11/2018 22:12

Leg of Serrano ham in a stand (if they’re not veggie)

A set of wine/ gin/ versatile glasses

Cinema vouchers with popcorn

Race day or other outing voucher in a gift pack from red letter days

Cheese and port

A fancy decanter

AlecOrAlonzo · 19/11/2018 22:12

Charlie Barley black pudding

Someone on here had an accidental delivery of these last year. They were bought as staff gifts. Ace present.

PunkAssMoFo · 19/11/2018 22:16

Posh panattone is always good too.

ForTheLoveOfGrace · 20/11/2018 07:47

Thanks all really helpful
