Looking for ideas for a couple of people aged around 19-25. In the past I've done:
Purses from Fossil (sale)
Urban Decay setting spray and primer
Urban Decay Naked Basics
Coffee shop voucher and reusable cup
'Naice' candles

Thanks. Think I'll get a couple of the Pixie Glow minis as a starting point (and one for me, too!).

Boots have a Mark Hill hairdryer with brush and spray on offer for £19.99. Its a fab buy.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/10/2018 15:09

I've just asked dd1 (a v stylish 20 something!) and she said:
Nip and Fab facemasks
Mac lipsticks
I might do little boxes, with a mini Mac lipstick, a little bottle of Pixi Glow and some face masks.

Boots usually do 3 for £25 benefit minis - there's definitely been a new mascara and blush released this year

Oliver Bonas have some nice bits with initials on - cosmetic bags, coaster, mugs etc.

Or what about a Chillys water bottle? Some lovely designs available

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 13/10/2018 16:23

I’m a bit older (ok quite a bit!) and I love all these ideas. I’ve always found cash a really disappointing gift other than maybe under 14 when I didn’t have any way of earning it myself.

HollowTalk · 13/10/2018 16:28

I would get one really nice thing rather than several smaller things. What about a Chanel nail polish?

Whatsnewwithyou · 13/10/2018 16:31

I love my chilly's water bottle, found out about them on here and thought maybe they were being overhyped...nope!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/10/2018 16:43

DD1 has asked for a Chilly's bottle. Can you buy them in real shops, or just online?

I've seen some designs in Urban Outfitters and Scribbler, but not much choice and only 500ml (that I saw). I think you can email Chillys for a list of stockists, but if there's a specific one that she wants it's probably best ordering online.

I ordered mine online and it came within 2-3 days, free delivery

Silver earrings or studs (there are some nice ones on John Lewis)

Hotel chocolat chocolates

Skincare and make up - this depends on the individuals - I’m quite into beauty and make up and buy this type of gift for people I think will appreciate it

Mascara sets - most young women probably use mascara more so than say blusher and you don’t have to worry about picking a colour

Candles

Some of the Christmas beauty gift sets in Boots are good and usually 3 for 2 - see soap and glory, no 7...

ileclerc · 13/10/2018 22:01

Cash is a great present!

Nacreous · 13/10/2018 22:06

M and S stock Fragonard scents in their beauty section which are beautiful and well priced.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/10/2018 13:17

Whilst we're here, any recommendations for 'nice' candles in the £10-20 bracket?

NOT Yankee - horrible things!

Littlelambpeep · 14/10/2018 13:19

L'occitane Almond Shower gel

NicoAndTheNiners · 14/10/2018 16:43

Remus, get yourself to Homebase or tk maxx. Nice candles at discount prices. I love DW candles and also Olivia Blake. Have just stocked up today.

AliceRR · 14/10/2018 16:51

Woodwick candles are nice and the wood wick makes a crackling noise like a fire which is a bit different

ToastyFingers · 15/10/2018 15:42

I'm only a little older than the range mentioned and would love to receive most of the stuff mentioned.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/10/2018 20:13

Decisions, decisions! Grin
