What are you getting your 3yo DD?

My daughter only really seems to like playing with whatever my son is holding and I'm wondering if it's just because we haven't worked out what she really wants to play with.

What are tour 3yo DDs into and what are you planning to get them?

I love these threads so most grateful for any responses.

My 3 year old dd loves her wiggle car and little live pet puppy at the moment.

My three year old loves my vintage collection of my little pony’s. I’ve got some more from a charity shop and I’ll put them in a pretty box for her. She also loves note books and pencils, so a selection of those. And probably some nice new purple shoes - that’s what she’s asked for. I also have an older son and we have a ton of toys, so I am trying not to buy too much more. She plays with his old magna tiles daily. They are pricy but a great investment. Outside she loves her scooter.

My daughter got these fantasy castle blocks when she was 3. Still used regularly at 7 so definitely a hit.

My 3 year old is doll obsessed . She has loads already but wants a different baby alive and a double pushchair . She also likes lol dolls and sylvanians.

Hoardernomore · 07/10/2018 09:37

Mine will be 3 on Christmas Eve. Between birthday and Christmas she has:

Load of sylvanian things - huge treehouse, nursery, school and figures (thanks eBay)
Playmobil stables
Shopkins
Hatchimals
LOL doll
Wrapple
Play doh oven
Sprudels
Washimals
Lumiluv unicorn
Shimmer and shine unicorns and figures
Paint your own tea set
Minnie Mouse sand art
Magiclip dolls
Glitzi-globe fairy kit
Mermaid bracelet set
Some books
Toucan box subscription

That’s between birthday and Christmas though. My parents are getting her the shopkins grand mall for her birthday and I think some clothes for Christmas. No one else really buys for her.

Our 3 year old (well she's 2 but will be 3 at Christmas) tends to play with slightly older toys. I think it's the effect of having an older sister. I'm fairly sure at this point with her sister we were still buying preschool toys. So far she has:

Sylvanian Families Beechwood Hall/Cosy Cottage set
Some Sylvanian Families to go with it
Lego Friends "Big Race Day" set
Lego Friends "Friendship House" set
Moana Sing-Along Doll (this is what she says Santa is bringing her lol)
Hairdorable Doll
Pomsie
LOL Underwraps
LOL Glitter Ball

There will be more but this is all we've picked up so far.

PodgeBod · 07/10/2018 09:52

Mine will be 4 in February so she's an older 3, she's getting
Poopsie doll
Wrapple
Toy Story toys
Play Doh
Ariel Doll
Mermaid barbie
fire fighter dress up set
a bath bomb maker (she really wants this which surprised me)

Mallowmarshmallow · 07/10/2018 18:29

Thank you all, it's very helpful to get some ideas. I think she'd like some of these things too.

Another vote for magnatiles, but you’d have to buy the £100 box to make it worth it, we got money from her uncles to put towards them so we could get her other stuff too. The only thing we’ve taken on uk holidays every time and she’s played with it most days for 18months.

Di11y · 07/10/2018 18:34

She uses it with her my little ponies and other small world figures.

SoyDora · 07/10/2018 18:34

Sylvanian families school
Lego Frozen set
Disney Micro playset
Kiddizoom camera

SoyDora · 07/10/2018 18:35

Oh and a LOL doll

PrincessTwilightStoleMyToddler · 07/10/2018 18:50

Mine wants a ride on tractor and overalls, “a trombone” (she is not getting that, not until she is older...) and a “big girl dolly that looks like a farmer” (any help with that much appreciated).
