DS will be 20MO at Christmas and I’m currently at a complete loss as what we are going to buy him ‘from Santa’. He has a sister (4.5) so we have passed quite a lot of toys down and to be honest, he isn’t overly into toys at the moment. Any ideas would be really appreciated, thank you Smile

Have you got the Happyland village stuff? My dd loves that.

She also has a train track thing with toot toot animals on it aswell

Can’t recommend Brio or a cheaper version highly enough. Ours is still played with daily and my son is 4
What about a wooden click clack track.

Ooohh the Mickey ride on is quite good.

We have Happy Land farm and police station. But may add to it if there are any sets on offer that look good. We already have quite a few Toot Toot sets too Confused

We have the Mickey sit on thing and DS (15 months) loves it. It's not very big though, a friends DS had a go the other day, he's 26/27 months, and his knees were up by his ears! I think I'd probably look for something a bit bigger if you want to get a lot of use out of it.
Do you have a smart trike or a sit on digger or train type thing - they are often a bit bigger but probably better for outside?

My 3 year old ds has a little tikes fire engine ride on and he’s lucky to get anywhere near it because my 18 month old ds loves it and only climbs off if he wants to eat/drink.
It was pricier than the usual car by little tikes but it’s shorter in height so isn’t as over bearing in the house.

My 21 month old absolutely loves our wooden train stuff at the moment. Hape and Smyths both do some toddler bits for it, xylophone track, rainbow tracks bits etc. My toddlers favourite is the bridges and add ons that make noise though. Ours is played with every day. We have it on a train table, and every evening I either set it up worn track or put out happyland/puzzles etc on it.

Mine has just got really into play food too, especially the bits with Velcro on. We already have a wooden kitchen and food, but I'm going to get an ice cream set for him for Christmas that will sit on top.

Personally I'd said skip a ride on and get a balance bike or toddle bike instead.

I really like the Mickey stuff too - I think I ride-on like a scooter or a tricycle is always a great idea. My girly has a folding trike that has multiple stages - I can use it as a push trike when she is not in the mood of riding solo. It actually a great way to learn how to ride. I know these folding trikes are really on trend at the moment...
