Play fort/ castle

Can anyone recommend a sturdy play fort or castle for small figures (say playmobil size or larger) that is robust enough to stand up to a two year old? He played with a brilliant one made from really thick plastic in a national trust property but they had no idea where it had come from.

Thanks all!

Plus ELC often do half price sales on happy land in a couple of weeks

My son is a bit older but has the imaginext one (it was £15 on offer in Argos last year. It’s lretty cool as it has trapdoors etc

The wooden Melissa and Doug castle has lasted well through several years of rough play in our house. It also comes fully assembled.

Another vote for the Melissa & Doug one

You can normally pick it up in tk max

Does fisher price still make one? Ds (who is admittedly 21 now!!) had a fab one!

Le Toy Van My First Castle

We've got the Le Toy Van castle and pirate ship for our 2yo and it's lasting well. The figurines are expensive and don't seem so sturdy so after getting one pirate, we've moved on to just generic figures. I managed to get some Pirates of the Caribbean at Home Bargains for about £2 for 2.

Some great suggestions. Will check them all out. Had been looking at the Le Toy Van one so thanks for the vote of confidence.

Thanks all!

We also have the Melissa and Doug one (larger of the two options). We bought it for our, then, three year old, who has always been very rough, and our younger young plays with it lots now. It has only suffered very minor damage and still looked lovely.

It wasn't an imaginext one was it? That's pretty thick plastic.

WutheringTights · 03/09/2018 18:29

Thanks. It was really basic, just a large plastic fort really. My nearly two year old ended up sitting in it (he just about fit) repelling attacks from my other kids with dragons etc at one point. He had the best time but I haven't seen anything similar anywhere. The other ones I've seen have fancy bits which I think actually make them less good for imaginative play.
