We have to get something as the older ones will notice and wonder why baby has no presents. The baby isn’t going to care one way or the other though. I’m at a bit of a loss what to get.

Hi just made it back to this thread. Thank you so much for all the great suggestions. We have most of the big stuff like jumparoo etc from the 2 year old and also not heaps of space for extra big things. I love the idea of a photo board book and also really like the idea of a glove puppet if I can find a nice one. I’m also toying with a wooden advent calendar for future years as the other two both have one. I’ve got a few ideas now that I wouldn’t have come up with thanks to this thread.

My youngest was 5wks at Xmas and as eldest was 4 we had to get gifts but remember family will also buy.

We brought toys for 6mths plus, clothes. Stocking was a little pushchair book and weaning bits (pots and spoons), little teddy and socks.

Another recommendation us the Lanka kade wooden toys the animals are lovely and chunky can start a collection now and add to it and at £2.50 each they are a bargain some are smaller than others the zoo animals are larger so better value. I buy mine from little footprints online as she offers free delivery and a points collection scheme. They are good for stacking too making animal towers. At nearly 8 and 4 both boys still love them.

Oh the Lanka Kade animals are a good shout actually. We have a few and I hadn’t thought about them for the baby as they are only just starting to come out and be played with but they are I think a good size for a baby. I might get a couple more.

My youngest was just 2 weeks old his first Christmas. We got him a Xmas outfit, blanket, wrist and ankle rattles and a my first christmas Teddy. All things I would have got anyway but wrapped because my older dd still believes and would wonder why the baby didn't have anything.

My DS was 5 weeks old his 1st Christmas and we bought a tummy time gym waste of money and then his second Christmas he was 13mo and we bought a small play mechanic set. Both those years he didn’t have a clue what’s going on so didn’t want to go silly buying presents.
