Park or similar services? Good bad and ugly?

Does anyone use Park for Christmas or similar? I’ve seen them around for years obviously but just being my husband and I we’ve just ended up bankrupting ourselves each November and paying it back with January pay days - very grown up I know!

But now we’ve got little one I was wondering if the services like park are actually any good? Not for this year obviously but wondered if anyone would be able to offer me any experience/advice?

I wouldn't, would be too worried about them going under.

My DH and I save £30 each a month that goes into a Christmas account. By October, when Christmas properly starts for me, we have £600 for food, presents and things to do. Could you do something like that?

X Free. Yes MIL had a hamper with everything in it apart from meat /frozen from Park last Christmas. She was so pleased, but everything in it I could have brought cheaper in the supermarket. The quality and quantity of goods in it were poor. We did not have the heart to tell her though. I hope she has not done the same this year.

I bankrupt myself for Christmas in august or September, still bargains to be had. Don't really get why people use their november December pay days no deals to be had and busier in the shops too

I use Park. This will be my 3rd year using them and I love it. The 1st 2 years I was paying £60 a month and getting £600 worth of vouchers to spend, but they could only be used in store and as seen as Toys r us have closed and all Argos stores are now in Sainsbury's I can't do that, so I changed my order, I know pay £50 a month and will get £800 pounds on 2 cards, so £400 on each to spend online or in store. They really save Christmas for me as I can buy my DC things I wouldn't be able to buy them otherwise.
