Mrs.Xmas feeling deflated! anyone else!?

I am Mrs Xmas!! I love xmas ever since I was a kid and the magic has never left me! Everyone laughs at my love of xmas like putting the tree up early and having the house like santa's grotto. So come January through to late August I feel like my sparkle has gone I really do not like long light days.. I love dark evenings, twinkling of lights and just the general feeling of the cosiness of it all. I love everything about the build up of xmas it makes me so happy. I have lots of fairy lights going on around the house so I have some sparkle! I think I have the reverse of winter SAD!! with the thoughts of lighter evenings coming in, every week now the stretch in the evenings is getting that bit longer and I find it depressing. I perk up in June when the longest day passes and we are on the countdown to darker evenings! Seeing Easter eggs in the shops yesterday I was just feeling bluuggh! I bought cheap crackers, cards and loads of wrapping paper this week though so that gave me a bit of a lift!! Am I alone in feeling like this or do I have some Xmas buddys with me on this one?

Muddling .....I hope you are managing to cope with this overwhelming grief. I just want to give you comfort somehow and to tell you that even though we didn't meet Super Sam or you ,that we still care and remember you .
On our walk we (DH& I) always pass a very small chapel. Yesterday l lit a candle and wrote in their book.
I said 'X Good night, God bless Super Sam X'

Oh Mrs thank you, that's lovely of you. It's so hard I miss him so much. Went to choose his headstone today which will take around 16 weeks. In the meantime all he has is a little wooden cross with his name on from the crem which makes me feel so sad.

Muddling I wish there were more I could do.
You must miss him so much.
I think the little wooden cross will be just fine until you get the proper stone done for him don't think about what you cannot do , think about what you can do .
You have a long way to go before you can even think straight.
Be very kind to yourself and your family. Goes without saying really but you need to look after yourself my dear. Anything you want to talk about then don't hesitate . Am sending Massive Cwtches.

Muddling I am a lurker on the Christmas thread. I always read your threads as i have two daughters abit older than yours so have pinched some of your ideas. had to google what a sprocket was.
I am so sorry to read about your Super Sam really was shocked.

Muddling - I am so so sorry to hear your sad news about Super Sam. As Toffee woman said, I feel like I know you as my DD is similar age to your eldest so I always look at your gifts and posts (and did buy DD a sprocket) here and on another Xmas site. Yay! Has it turned up yet? I got my Christmas butter dish and coasters through. Very pleased with them.

Yes. It's ace! If a touch smaller than our current pot. It fits onto the tealight stand though, so that's helpful, as it'll stay warm longer.
