...just called up to speak to our 7yo and 5yo and decided it would be a good idea to ask them what they wanted santa to bring. Apparently they would like a pink unicorn and a blue sparkly bike.

First we've heard of it.

I mean seriously, who asks on CHRISTMAS BLOODY EVE???

Pour some Baileys. Chill.

Baileys sounds nice. Unfortunately I'm due to give birth on Thursday so...maybe a nice glass of milk instead! Grin

But it's just a conversation starter isn't it; popular at this time of year.

That's a fine question IF AND ONLY IF you know the family does FC and you bookend it with plenty of "well he'll have set off already because it's Christmas in Australia" or "ooh do you think the elves can make that?" or even "well it's good for FC to bring us a surprise".

A small child at the Santa Grotto I was running today told me she really wanted a new purple cup. I suggested that she should ask Santa for some chocolate and a surprise as her mum looked horrified behind her.

DS went on Thursday morning - he's never been interested before - very shy, doesn't do strangers....he's had an ever changing list since June, but got him the one constant thing he's been on about....

He went in and asked for something that doesn't exist and won't be getting. It's fine! (Let you off because it's MIL and you're PG which is bound to mean things are a bit strained)

They'll forget all about by the morning. It was just an off the cuff answer.
