Bloody Bonusprint - what can I do for presents now?

Turns out that Bonusprint have failed to send my photo calendars and photobooks that I ordered back in November (despite emailing me to saying they were on their way and their tracking system saying this).

So I have nothing for dm and dmil for Christmas, and I'm working every day until Christmas now.

I am fuming with Bonusprint (who have helpfully offered to reprint my order for free for delivery in the new year, as if this makes it ok) but really need to focus on new presents.

Any suggestions for items I can order with Amazon prime for either? Budget in the £20-30 range. Dm likes gardening, birds etc, doesn't drink, only eats mint chocolates, and is partially blind, age 70. Dmil has no hobbies, likes baking but I got her a recipe book last year, age late 60s.

Hope someone can help!

What about one of those window bird feeder boxes?

PanannyPanoo · 21/12/2017 16:19

Bird table camera. So they can watch the birds on the tv.

herb planter

If you were looking for a photo gift - prime sell photo coasters that you can insert your own photo into?

mullmepopcorn · 21/12/2017 16:22

Small box of random chocs, with a note in saying the calendar is on its way.

BestZebbie · 21/12/2017 16:23

M&S cardigan now, with an IOU for the photo stuff?

UniversalTruth · 21/12/2017 16:24

Sorry, but there's 2 full mailing days before Christmas - I would be tweeting and complaining on their Facebook page - they can print today and send tomorrow by courier surely?

rcit · 21/12/2017 16:24

I’d just say to mum and mil to wait for the calendars? They aren’t 5yos.

Audible subscription for a few months for audiobooks?

shouldwestayorshouldwego · 21/12/2017 16:25

Hamper of baking ingredients and decorations together with some silicone molds - maybe popcake ones inside a cake carrier. Should be able to pick up most things other than cake carrier at supermarket. Poundland have cake carriers.

I'd get a small token present for them to unwrap and explain calendars are to follow. I'm sure they'll understand.

We've bought mil a monthly seed subscription from a gardening place- they send a selection of bulbs and seeds each month. It was £39 for 3 months I think. Sent as an email with a code for her to redeem, so no waiting for delivery!

Thanks for the ideas, off to have a look at some of them now.

Yes, I kniw they aren't 5, but sitting with nothing to open on Christmas day seems a bit sad to me. Token present with calendars to follow seems like a good option though.

I have complained via Facebook and email (but since getting them to admit the items were lost took days I'm not holding my breath for a response). Is it worth me joining Twitter just to complain?

Thanks for the ideas, I have ordered a window bird feeder for dm and some baking bits for dmil.

Got in touch with Bonusprint via Facebook and Twitter. They generously offered to "reprint my order for free" - the order I paid for a month ago and they haven't sent. Not fussed about missing christmas - terrible customer service!
