I've got 8 on Christmas day (3 kids, 5 adults), inc 7 from Christmas Eve to the 29th. Plus a dog.

Christmas day is sorted - full English breakfast, snacky lunch and Christmas dinner in the evening.

What else are you eating? I need a plan so I can finalise the shopping order, but am all out of inspiration.

Gosh we arent organised at all judging by this. Xmas Eve pizzas after Mass. Christmas day breakfast same as any other day with Panetonne amd fruit salad. No more food but lots of toy playing until full traditional dinner at about 3 then chill and puck. Boxing day buffet style thats when the pork pie and other bits from the farmers market come out. We take it as it comes tbh. Is it supposed to be more formal?

Christmas eve will just be normal food, whatever i have in the house and feel like at the time.

Christmas day will be normal breakfast
Dinner at about 3pm
Maybe a sandwich or snack in the evening
I tend to overeat during dinner so dont eat much else.

Boxing day will be normal breakfast and buffet food for the rest of the day.

I do not make a big deal about food over Christmas. There are more important things than that

Ooh this is fun, have only been on doghouse threads before. We are 8 for Christmas, all adult young to old with two vegetarians in the mix.
First two arriving tomorrow...
Cauliflower cheese and garlic bread for lunch, I shall make two and refrigerate one for a side with Xmas lunch.
They will be out in the evening so DH and I will have salmon with roast veg traybake.
Xmas eve, breakfast scrambled egg and smoked salmon
Lunch whatever I chuck at them since will be busy preparing for main event.
Supper, a vegetarian moussaka I made and froze down a couple of weeks ago.
Xmas Day, breakfast croissants and jams, rest of guests arriving 11am for champagne and nibbles, blinis with smoked salmon, veg tartlets, mini stuffing balls, olives.
Lunch at 2.30, traditional turkey etc, vegetarian option filo parcels stuffed with chestnuts, wild rice, mushrooms.
Cheeseboard later and some salady bits with cold sliced beef.
Boxing Day, DH does a big fry up brunch. Youngsters and us walk dog up to our local pub, oldies have a break and watch tv. Boxing Day evening buffet with cold meats, smoked salmon, quiche, salad, coleslaw topped off with a trifle or cheesecake that my mother makes and brings.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 22/12/2017 07:43

Christmas Eve lunch and inlaws and then snacks when we get home.

Christmas Day - breakfast is pains au chocolat for the kids and salmon for DH and I

Lunch is Christmas dinner, we are having pork and turkey with all the trimmings. About an hour before I'll put out crisps, olives etc.
Pudding is Christmas pudding and ice cream. There's 6 of us this year.

We have lunch about 1/130 so when people get hungry again, about 6, we'll have cheese, slices of ham, crackers and open some chocolates.

Boxing Day will be picking at leftovers.

Christmas Day Scrambled egg and smoked salmon for breakfast. (Bacon for dh as he doesn't like salmon). Mince pies mid morning and a ham sandwich for Dd before we visit our local for a few hours.
