DD is off travelling in the new year, southeast Asia etc. Her pile is looking pretty paltry compared to her sister...off into town to get last bits today, so hit me with your essential travelling kit please.

And photos of family and friends. Don't frame them, just put them in a plastic pocket for if she's lonely.

Oh and something like Piriton for allergies/rashes. Personally, I'd pack my ruck-sack full of anti-insect repellent lol.

Tell her also to separate critical things e.g. money/passport/contact numbers/credit cards/tickets etc. At least then only one thing might get stolen on her.

Reading back I sound like a prophet of doom, but my sister did SE Asia and was robbed several times.

Oh and one thing my sister loved was fold-up pumps (shoes). Took up no space at all and she said they were the most used thing she had. Handy for packing in handbag for way home from somewhere in high heels.
