I have ordered DS7 the Harry Potter Audio book collection from The Book People but they have lost my order and now it's out of stock !!
Does anyone know where I can find audio CD books suitable for DS7 who due to dyslexia is a very reluctant reader ?
The Harry Potter books were ideal as we have the actual books so he can read along but I can't seem to find them elsewhere at a reasonable price elsewhere.

The Book People have a David Walliams collection for a tenner. Think there are 8 books which is great value. My boys love it. Think they have a deal on Roald Dahl too. The one we all love is Mr Gum which is hilarious!

You can sometimes get HP on eBay but they are still pricey. My eldest has a SpLD so audio books were a godsend. He's 13 now but still has them on at bedtime.

I know that this is not actual cds but we use the listening books service for people with reading difficulties including dyslexia www.listening-books.org.uk
You pay a small fee for access to a large audio book library you can have cd's posted but we use the online subscription for £20 a year.

What about an audible subscription and something to listen to it on?

Waterstones.com has Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone on audio cd read by Stephen Fry for £28 new.
Amazon has The Lion, Witch & The Wardrobe BBC full cast for £10 new.
Or The Best of Paddington also read by Stephen Fry.
Cows in Action series can be bought with a cd inside each book to read along.

Harry Potter seems quite an ambitious read for any 7 yr old.

Thank you for some brilliant suggestions, I have just ordered the David Walliams collection and also signed up to the listening books website which is a great service Wine Flowers

My 6 year old is OBSESSED with the 13 Storet Treehouse on CD. It’s really funny and silly and he loves it.

What about an Audible subscription? You pay monthly but get a ‘credit’ every month, which I have used to buy all the eye-watering my expensive HP books. There’s a daily deal too, which is good value if it’s something you want.
We listen in the car usually. Audiobooks have made a massive difference to dyslexic DD as, like when I read books to her, she can immerse herself in the story and really understand it, then read it herself with confidence later.

The Roald Dahl collection is often a good deal on book people, and has kept us all entertained (DC 8). I can imagine David Walliams would be good too - the books are funny.
