Once there is no denying that your kids no longer believe in Santa, how do you sign off the Christmas presents? Do you sign them from yourself, keep up the Santa pretence, a mix, or what? I can’t remember what I did last year! Confused

Father Christmas still leaves me a selection box under my mums Christmas tree! Maybe just one token Father Christmas present?
Or just from whoever they’re from.
My older 2 know now, they’re 12 and 13, but they still get stockings and presents from FC and send a letter up the chimney because they have a younger brother who still believes.
Even when they all stop believing, I reckon F.C. will still leave them something under the tree Xmas Grin

LaPampa · 17/12/2017 19:25

F.C. delivers his in the stocking in our house. No labels needed.

LearnFromThePast · 17/12/2017 19:37

FC only ever leaves stockings and never put labels on those. All other gifts just have the gift givers names

Thickasmince · 17/12/2017 19:56

Okay, thanks. That’s maybe what I did last year, the stocking from Santa. Who knows, and DS won’t care, I imagine!

Same here. When the dc were little stockings came from Santa & he was just the 'postman' for presents from family & friends.

eddiemairswife · 17/12/2017 20:03

I had my stocking and labelled presents from everyone else, so did my children. Mind you, my children still have little unlabelled gifts under the tree, as well as a main present even though they are adults with their own children.

Love51 · 17/12/2017 20:05

Don't bother with a label. Just write the name of the recipient on the wrapping paper with a Sharpie. Implies that it is from Santa without saying it explicitly.

lovelyjubilly · 17/12/2017 20:22

We also just sharpie the name of the recipient straight onto the wrapping.

InfiniteCurve · 17/12/2017 20:26

Now:I am lazy,so just the recipients name on the gift.
As a child: all our presents came from people,Mum and Dad,Gran, friends.
Nothing ever came labelled from Father Christmas - why would it? How do your children thank people for presents if they think some magical bloke provides them all?
Scrooge moment there, but I remember how magical and exciting Christmas was as a child, FC delivered out presents but that was all!

pallisers · 17/12/2017 20:28

Santa never signed a present in his life in our house!

A stocking is put out for everyone including the dog with names on them. Santa brings small/funny/nice gifts in the stocking (sometimes under it). Still does even though the youngest is 16.

We give family gifts separately and always have.

CurlsandCurves · 17/12/2017 20:28

Before they knew, presents from family were labelled as such. Presents from Santa were just labelled with their names.

Nothing’s changed. If anything is unlabelled that means it’s a joint present.

spiderlight · 17/12/2017 21:52

Santa's presents are in special red Santa paper so he's never needed to sign them.
