Just being nosy really. It'll just be me, dh and 2 dcs (3 and 4) for dinner this year. Dh doesn't like turkey and dcs won't eat it so we've decided on steak and chips and pizza for dcs. Ice cream, top hats and cup cakes.
I shall get a traditional dinner at my dms on Boxing Day, she does it much better than me anyway Smile. What's everyone else having if not the usual?

We'll be at MILs this year. She's Italian so we'll be having traditional Italian food which is about 836282 courses and lasts the whole. Day. Long.

Just three of us, me, OH and a poor demented parent I can't bear the thought of being in the care home 😢 Lots of blankets, hats and hot soup. It'll be fab

DS (2 years 10 months) and I will be having a very small stuffed turkey and my DH, and parents will be having nut roast as they are veggies. Served with roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots, mashed swede, sprouts with chestnuts and peas. DS will probably get boiled potatoes, carrots, broccoli and cauli as he doesn't like any other veggies! Then Christmas pud and cream and probably something chocolaty for DS.

We had a takeaway curry two years in a row. It was fabulous Grin, although the second year the DCs complained about the lack of roast.

I went to a friend's house one year for Christmas Day and she served Beef Wellington. One of my favourite ever Christmas dinners.

I'm doing the full-on turkey and trimmings this year, but if I had to choose a no-faff alternative, I think I'd go for steak and chips.

A packed lunch because I’ll be working!

Not entirely traditional. Like last year I am doing slow roast pork overnight in the Aga instead of turkey/goose. All the sides are the same though - except apple sauce instead of cranberry.

It's more forgiving than turkey. Most people seem to prefer it. And it is cheaper than a fancy free range turkey.

I live overseas and this is the first year in 10 that we will spend it at home as we usually go on holiday.
We will probably have a picnic on the beach. Last year we had delicious bbq burgers, the year before a Thai feast, we have also had Chinese take out and gone for sushi. It doesn't matter - it's all about the company!

littlechoc hope it'll be a fancy packed lunch! These all sound great

Probably just a cheese sandwich! I might take in a box of mince pies though

Bubble and squeak with meat and gravy.
We have our big roast on Christmas eve - lamb leg and turkey crown this year - then DH makes the world's best bubble and squeak with all the leftovers. I don't like spending Christmas day in the kitchen but I enjoy cooking and eating Christmas dinner (not as much as the bubble and squeak though).
