I'm doing my list for the big shop Xmas Wink. For the first time in years we are not hosting Christmas lunch and are going to relatives instead. Usually we live on leftovers for a few days after so now I'm not sure what to do.

Also dh has Christmas Eve off work so would like something nice then. I need to plan for

Christmas Eve
Christmas Day breakfast- prob just pastries and chocolate
Christmas night
Boxing Day lunch
Boxing Day dinner

We are 2 adults and 2 pre schoolers who are fussy so will just eat what they usually eat and hopefully try a bit of what we're having.

So what have you got planned? Do you go back to normal meals after Boxing Day?

Somewhere along the line I like to cook a ham. I use Gordon Ramsay's maple mustard glaze recipe. After eating it hot with roasties the first time, it gives us a few meals like pasta bake, quiche and bubble and squeak.
We've also started a tradition of a cheese fondue for tea on Christmas Eve with 3 different cheeses and a selection of breadsticks, dough balls, crackers, mini rice cakes and veg to dip.
Breakfast on Christmas morning is the ever-so cliche scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Croissant usually on Boxing Day.
I like to counter the rich food with a few light soups or jacket potatoes for other meals.

Mmm love the cheese fondue idea. I do like a baked Camembert.
