Dh has friends who turn up and we have neighbours who may pop in.
I have a stash of cocktail sausages in the freezer (for those we know are coming the night before )

So what so you serve friends with a drink or two?

I keep some sliced smoked salmon in the fridge. I take strips of it and roll them up into little bundles and hold then together with a cocktail stick. Dress with lemon juice and black pepper. It only takes a minute to prepare and it meets the needs of most of my visitors (who are avoiding carbs much of the time).

Ooo this is right up my street, watching with interest.

So far, I have cooked 24 mince pies, and frozen them, then I can pop them in the oven for 13 mins at 180' on an as needed basis.

@HundredMilesAnHour Is the low carbing working for your friends? Great idea re the salmon.

Is the low carbing working for your friends?

Seems to be. I do it myself when I'm training (weights) hard but I've, ahem, fallen off the exercise wagon at the moment. Most of my colleagues also eat low carb. I seem to be surrounded by obsessed protein eaters!
