Ideas for present for brother’s gf

DH and I offered ages ago to host my parents and DB (26) for Christmas - it is our first Christmas in a bigger house, and I’m pregnant with DC2 so don’t fancy travelling. They’re all staying over.

DB has now asked (via DM, which is slightly irritating) if he can bring his new-ish gf too (let’s call her Lily for this). Lily’s parents are divorcing so she’d rather be elsewhere. Absolutely fine - we’re a “the more the merrier” type house at Christmas so one extra isn’t an issue (though I have said to DB that he needs to ask me or DH direct next time).

The (small) issue I do have is that aside from a name and approx age (mid 20s) I know literally nothing about Lily. DB and Lily have been together perhaps 5 or 6 months but we’ve never met her. It’s a long distance relationship at the mo (he’s currently a student abroad, she lives in London) and TBH DB has barely mentioned her when we’ve spoken (this isn’t any indication of the strength of their relationship - he just isn’t very chatty). This means I have literally no idea what to get her for Christmas (if she wasn’t here for Christmas we wouldn’t have been buying for her but she is going to be here and I want her to feel welcome). I asked DB what sort of things she liked and got a teenage style load of mumbling back. Helpful.

So - any ideas for a mystery woman in her mid 20s...? Would slippers be too dull? We have cold floors downstairs and it would mean she could use them while she’s staying. Budget of about £20. I’d rather not get smellies as I think they’re quite a personal choice. Could go for something edible (have checked she has no dietary requirements) but I don’t know her likes or dislikes. Argh. Bloody uncommunicative DB!

If she is under 26 and lives in London, an annual membership at the V & A (35.00).

Alternatively, a book of travel ideas, such as Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2018, reduced to 6.99 on Amazon which works well if you have Prime and don't pay delivery and a pair of black cashmere gloves

Ooh thank you! Those gloves are fab! And useful too. Love the other ideas - may have to try to pin my elusive DB down to check if she’s under 26... otherwise I do have prime (I live rurally with small DC so it’s needed!) thanks again.
