It's a bit sparse isn't it? Fiddly bugger - I sort of gave up on it - what do you reckon? My children laughed. DH said it had a certain charm.

It needs a little support maybe use a wire coat hanger unravel it make it into a circle shape.

anothernetter · 07/12/2017 08:20

I like it - especially the tear drop shape it has a certain charm to it. I agree however that it would look even nicer with a ribbon

Bingeslayer · 07/12/2017 08:20

I really like it

Crumbs1 · 07/12/2017 08:22

It is good. Much nicer than a supermarket ice white glittery one.
I’d maybe add a large wired tartan ribbon bow. Then interweave some Ivy.

InfiniteSheldon · 07/12/2017 08:24

It's quite charming i am imagining a giant fairy took off her ivy crown and gifted you

OpalTree · 07/12/2017 08:27

I like it. Only thing i would improve is to make it round.

OpalTree · 07/12/2017 08:28

I like that it's from your garden too

mabelchiltern · 07/12/2017 08:33

Very good - tasteful and from your garden - I do similar every year and now use cable ties ( super quick!) to hold everything in place behind the foliage after years of struggling with jewellery wire. I add lots of ribbon bows... I'm probably not as tasteful as you!

longtompot · 07/12/2017 09:02

I think its lovely! You could wrap some ivy around it, to give it a bit more of a fluid shape, but actually, its fine as it is. At least you made it from things in your garden. If your family can do better, give them all the equipment and see what they come up with Grin

Rudgie47 · 07/12/2017 09:10

Its a bit sparse and needs a few more bits of holly or tinsel or something wrapped round to bulk it out a bit.The holly looks very nice and its getting there.

soupforbrains · 07/12/2017 09:17

I think a base like this would be a nicer base for your type of wreath. It's so lovely to use pieces from your own garden and your holly is beautiful.

I 'frame' like the one I linked to would give it a little more strength and sturdiness without making it over large.

Well done OP on the effort, most people buy one or don't bother so you're already doing better than most.

Chaosofcalm · 07/12/2017 09:22

I like it. I think round would be better for next year. But I do like understated elegance in Christmas decorations.
