What to buy a partner who wants nothing!?

So far I've bought him his favourite aftershave, a couple tops & some socks - only because i threw a load away last month as they were beyond hope! And a remote control car - I bought one for my son too so they can have races or whatever boys do when mums not home.
I was going to get new trainers but he went out and bought them already so that's off the table. He got a new coat only 4/5 months ago (not cheap and hardly worn!)
In the past he's had personalised pictures and things like that but I feel there's no more stuff like that to get that he's not already got. Not into games consoles and he has a tablet. Help me!
Don't really have a budget as such but I like to buy lots of things to open rather than one or two big things so a range of prices would be ideal to see - for reference, the most expensive thing he's bought me (I ordered for him to give me) is a hoover that was 60% off plus extra 25% off at checkout coming to £29.99 so for a 'main' present I'm looking between £30-50 then spend maybe £50-60 on remaining gifts - of that I've already spent about £40 on the stuff I've already bought. Thanks in advance for your ideas!
P.S nothing that involves going out to places i.e football matches/adventure trips as he's self employed and will never take the day off! (already made that mistake!)

It does sound like he's got loads already. What about helping the children make him something? They could paint a mug for him? Make a desk tidy out of empty pots..

If you just want him to have lots to open, wrap the socks up individually? Grin

Fire pit made from a recycled washing machine drum - about £25 on EBay. Amazingly effective and all four men/young men in our house love it!

CantChoose · 02/12/2017 09:27

CustardDonuts beat me too it.
Some kind of mundane household gift is the only option here I'm afraid. Perhaps he would like some extra strong bin liners?

Anotherdayanotherdollar · 02/12/2017 09:37

Can the hoover not be for him?? He obviously thinks it's an acceptable gift... Confused

Myself and dh decided to do stocking fillers only this year as neither of us needed anything and money is tight etc. As soon as we decided I remembered loads of things that he could actually do with and some things I wanted. Maybe try that?? Grin

My Dh never wants anything - or if he does he orders it from Amazon!

He never buys himself any clothes, though, so although boring, shirts, jumpers, trousers, are the usual sort of thing.

I was so naffed off one year when after having said he didn't want anything, right after Christmas he went and bought himself a wheelie briefcase/laptop case/carry-on bag - he was doing a lot of travelling for work at the time.
I asked why on earth he hadn't said - he 'didn't think'.
Last year it was sheepskin slippers from Celtic - another thing he'd never think to buy for himself - the sheepskin soles on his old ones were worn right down.
I had never thought to buy him slippers till some years ago - too old-man-ish, or so I'd thought until someone else bought him some and he really liked them.

woollytights · 02/12/2017 17:36

I can't understand why you're worrying this much about it when you had to order your own gift (a cheap hoover of all things) for yourself.

BadCarrot · 02/12/2017 17:41

Mishappening - yes, yes, yes. Most of us have far too much stuff. If you have to buy get consumables or experiences. Don't override his wishes.

minipie · 02/12/2017 17:46

He wants nothing and you've already bought him four or five things. Stop!!

minipie · 02/12/2017 17:47

Honestly I have told DH I just want some nice chocolates and I mean it. I don't want him buying me something else he'd only get it wrong. Listen to your DP.

LemonysSnicket · 02/12/2017 17:48

One of those DNA test things?

BikeRunSki · 02/12/2017 17:51

Check the frequencies the RC cars use (should say on the box). If they are the same, the controllers will control both cars and racing will be impossible. This happened when we gave the dc different coloured RC minis.

Cakecrumbsinmybra · 02/12/2017 18:17

If he doesn't want anything then why are you trying to find more things to buy for him? You have already bought something. You don't have to spend money just because it's Xmas. But if you must, then why not purchase a charity gift?

For DH's birthday I did vouchers from the boys, like "one guitar lesson from DS1", that sort of thing. You don't need to buy stuff for someone who doesn't want anything!

Skala123 · 03/12/2017 12:51

Do you have a sonos yet? If not then they make great presents for DH

Beahun · 03/12/2017 13:47

My DH never really want anything for Christmas either. He bought a screwdriver set for himself so he said I can give that to him.
Also, he doesn't know but I'm getting a karaoke machine for him. I know DH would enjoy it and we can all use it together. Also, he likes beer😀

CheckpointCharlie2 · 03/12/2017 13:53

Ooh yes Sonos with a Spotify subscription as skala said.
I made DH a cheese hamper last year with his fav cheese (black bomber cheddar and chilli cheddar) with crackers etc and he loved it, wasn't too expensive either.
