Hi. Dd has just introduced this as the top of the list Christmas gift having been to friend's houses who have them.
Any advice on where I can get the best deal and ideally some top cash back!

I understand for many the novelty wore off after the hatching so need to weigh up the cost of this.

And is there a preference on a type?

And does the hatching happen slowly? Is there a chance we'll miss it and wake up the next day and it's hatched?!

Tesco £45 for the one with a owl in it but £60 for the twin one

I'm sure Amazon France had them for £31 or something, but not sure if that deal is over

I have no idea about the hatching maybe watch a YouTube vid.
My dd has told me she wants both the big egg and the tiny ones that are 4 for £9.99 they are tiny.

Think the hatching happens over a shortish period of time - 10-40 minutes. You can watch various YouTube videos of them hatching to get an idea.

Yes def watch YouTube to see the hatching process, you have to pet the egg continuously for about 30 mins while it gradually hatches, my 6 year old daughter was getting bored and tired hands lol, maybe it's just us but we found it went on way too long. Could be the technology involved, or maybe the way they justify the price tag (we got it last year when it first came out felt it was overpriced and over hyped, at least if you get it the price has come down a bit now).

Once it's hatched you have to play with it and take care of it, my daughter enjoyed this part but the noises do get really annoying as with many of these toys! Overall she was interested in it for a few weeks, but it was limited play and she's hardly touched it the rest of the year, it's at the bottom of the toy box, but that's just our experience. I think it's a good idea but is limited for play and is overpriced.

Looks like the above has gone up in price

This website is useful for comparing prices across the different EU countries Amazon sites. Often the products are dispatched from the UK Amazon warehouse even if you order from say Italy.

I've bought my dd the colleggtibles mini hartchimals for a fiver for 2. She's only 4 so hoping that'll do!

Same thing happened to me. DD came home from school telling me that she and all her friends have written to Santa asking for hatchimal twins!

Have just order some on amazon for £54.99
