Christmas Candle?

I'm looking to buy some new Christmas candles and wondering what Christmas candles you swear by?

I bought The White Company Winter candle last year and was most disappointed. The smell was amazing but I just couldn't smell it when the candle was lit.

Doe last anyone have any other recommendations?

Thanks!

Noel by Crabtree and Evelyn. You will never buy another when you smell it!

There were recommendations for Woodwick (they crackle when they're lit) and Crabtree&Evelyn.

I buy Yankee usually but only some of the scents. I found a box of votives from last year Xmas Grin including Sugared Apple , Red Apple Wreath and Christmas Cookie, all favourites.
My all time favourite Christmas candle is Yankee Sparkling Cinnamon ( nicer than Cinnamon Stick IMO)

I went into HomeBase/TKMaxx but it was hard to differentiate the scents because they're all tightly packed together. (Some really do smell like dirty socks though) Xmas Shock

I'm planning a Costco visit this week, they do big candles in glass , multi wicked , though typically , none last time I was there !

Last year I had a 40% off White Company voucher and even with that , I didn't think the candle was worth it .

I find you can get much more fragrance from the wax melts/tarts than from burning a candle of the same fragrance.

We used to love Yankee but have been a bit disappointed recently, like they're not adding enough oils to get a proper scent.

We found a range called Heart and Home who DO do candles which smell. Baked Apple Cookie is my favourite.

I have a Yankee Christmas Cookie which is lovely and strong - fills the house with a sugary baking smell. Also Christmas Garland wax melts which smell just like a Christmas tree. I was also surprised by how nice one of the Glade wax melts is - it's called Mulled Wine by an Open Fire (or something close) and it smells lovely - I'v stocked up on that one for December. You can buy it with an electric wax melter thing so it can be left on without worrying about candles - and it's loads cheaper than the Yankee version.

Oh yes the electric tart warmer - got one last year from Asda (special offer ) and I use the Yankee Melts.
You can do a blend of half/half if you break them up too. Xmas Wink

I have a huge flickering flame battery candle in a glass hurricane vase, really nice if you want the 'look' of a candle then add the scent with the electric melter, much safer .

Sainsbury’s cinnamon spice is my go to candle for Christmas. Shearer candles do some nice smells but I don’t think they make my house smell any more so am probably not going to buy any more which is a shame because they’re British.

I’ve never found a Yankee candle I like the smell of :(

Diptique Feu de Bois, whilst not Christmassy, smells of an open fire.

Heals do a couple of lovely ones - a spiced winter berry and a pine and frankincense one. they used to do cinnamon and orange which scented the entire house whether it was lit or not and lasted three years! But they stopped it. White Company's one last year was a poor comparison.
I'm trying the pine and frankincense this year. I love a really good scented candle, nothing artificial smelling.
