Gymnastics mad DD has only put one thing on her list: a beam or bar for home!
Ive seen some folding beams on Amazon, has anyone experience of them?
And has anyone got a bar they could recommend thant wont bankrupt us Grin

Luckily, DD does rhythmic gymnastics and balls, ribbons, hoops and twinkly leotards are all quite cheap at Decathlon. She's getting all that for Christmas. Might be worth a look at Decathlon though?

Ikea sell a balancing bench for £45 If that would be any good?

We know quite a few children with the Hudora bar. That seems good.

Good enough for up hip circles and back hip circles. Depends how much more your daughter wishes to do.

Check out Tumbltrak.co.uk. Sure Nastia Liukin has her own range of home gym equipment, not sure if it’s available in Uk or not though.

Thanks for the replys, I've seen the Tumble Trak bar, space might be an issue though. The Hudora one looks good and could go outside: does it get concreted in to the ground?
No one used a folding beam? Not sure how stable they woukd be!

It depends on her ability. A lot of people say the folding beams wobble, so not good for higher skills. Ours is on legs and is 2 feet (maybe) off the ground. Enough to do decent skills with a mattress under if aerial skills.
Have you considered an air beam? It’s an inflatable mat with a beam strip along it. Or air tracks are also a huge hit!
If she is quite young/ lower level then a decent floor mat and a door chin up bar could be okay.
The outdoor bars do need concreted in, but are good fun if you get okay weather.
We have the junior kip bar pro... it’s fab and get some used most days despite 13 hours per week being spent at actual gymnastics! It can be put away easily which is a bonus.
Hand guards, guard bags, shorts, bag etc all good gifts also.

Thanks again, for the beam she is starting to land cartwheels and do handstands so not exactly higher skills yet!
I really like the junior kip bar, do you have it out or inside?

Inside. It cost far too much to leave outside! Lol.
This beam gets a good review from the mums at our gym- it’s got a wider base than a solid beam so doesn’t wobble-
