Our Generation Diner etc for 10 year old DD?

Dd is 10.5 and has never been into baby dolls but surprised us last year asking for an Our Generation doll. She has played with it off and on over the year and was thrilled to get it last year with some outfits.
Today she has mentioned she would really like the diner for Christmas ( had already asked for another doll.)
I'm pleased that at 10 she still wants toys ( loves Lego Elves) but am wondering how much play value she'll have from it especially when starting secondary school next year. I wouldn't hesitate if it wasn't so expensive,(£115 cheapest) and was wondering what others would do?

Personally, I would buy it, let her enjoy it, then if she stops playing with it when she starts secondary, sell it on. The resale value is pretty good on the big OG sets.

My 9yr old suddenly got jnto our generation dolls in August. I bought her one doll. Then she was given a late bday voucher, so she bought a dolls pram a month later. They're in her bedroom and she does play with them. I walked into her room today and she was playing with them. I LOVE that she plays with them.

I would buy her more for Christmas but we've got her a games console with a steering wheel (which she will also love)
I'd say go for it

We are getting dsd who is 9 one for Xmas. She was asking for an American girl doll so hopefully this will be an ok alternative...

My dd is 10 (only just Birthday August) she is doll crazy and has over 30 fools including some reborn, our generation etc & tons of accessories to go with them including real car seats etc.

She's asking for more but I'm unsure manly as she asking for dolls that are £100 plus and I'm worried that starting secondary next September she will not want them, she already hides her doll obsession from school friends etc as no other year 6 still seems to be into them

Glad I’ve seen this my DD (9) is also asking for a ‘real doll’, I am unsure as she also hides them from her friends.
Love that she still plays though!

Thanks everyone for the replies, I asked her again tonight if that was really what she wanted and her response was it would be lovely but she wouldn't be disappointed not to get it and would rather have just another doll if it meant she could have a another big Lego Elves set! So problem solved as I've already another doll and 2 Lego elves sets which I would have kept until her birthday if she'd chosen the diner.

MrsMarvel I'm sure as an alternative it will be absolutely fine, we looked at AG dolls as dd's friend had one and she preferred OG hence the one she got last year. There's actually very little difference except AG girls have visible teeth.
