What to buy a 40something Scrooge-y man for Christmas??

Between the family he has:

Slippers
Jumper
Wallet
Chocolate

I have no idea what to get him and to be honest, he's never overly enthusiastic about anything which makes things 10000 times more difficult!

No specialist hobbies I could get something for. At the same time no major dislikes I need to avoid.

Suggestions welcome and hugely appreciated Smile

This is a good idea. With a butt plug instead of a dildo

Wine/whisky/Brandy?
Book/Magazine subscription?

My dad is horrendous to buy for so we now get him a voucher for his favourite centre and it's been perfect!

Fawlty towers box set.

Nothing.

What about a coffee subscription? I've just ordered one from Pact where you get a half price aeropress purely because read about on here. You can choose any length of time btw deliveries. If he's a coffee drinker!

Consumables (eg wine, beer, cider, spirit), digital music or book voucher?

For people like this I look at traidcraft or ethical superstore and pick the thing they'll be most happy with even if they are only minimally happy. At least the shop/trader has benefited rather than a sweatshop and I've not littered the planet with so much plastic/shite.

jelliebelly · 25/11/2017 11:34

Frankly I wouldn't bother!

I was tempted not to bother but with these suggestions there may just be some hope yet - thanks all!
