Building blocks

I'm looking at building blocks for my 1 yo. Would you buy a small set of 26 with the logic you can add more next year or go for a much larger set of 100 now?

6 yo sibling might play with them too.

If you're talking Mega Blocks, get small. In my opinion, you can't do much with them other than a tower. My son soon grew out of them and on to Duplo. I'm not sure a 6 year old would play with duplo for long, as I imagine he's me more interested in Lego

if you are looking for something to build on each year I would go with duplo. I personally wouldn't bother with megablocks.

wooden blocks are good especially with the push a long trolley :)

It was the wooden Haba ones I was eyeing up. With the long term view of adding the marble run in a few years.

We have lots of Duplo from older child.

Since the 6 yr old sibling would also play with it, I would go for a larger set. I got a smaller one for my DD when she was around 2 yrs but she used to throw them all around and now only just several are left over for her to play when she feels like it.

Get the larger set, 26 doesn’t do much. My two (6 and 9) still have fun with building blocks.

We have a tub from tiger. Not much money at all but very very good. They are played with weekly abd have been for the last two years.
