Upside Down Christmas Trees - is this a Thing?

At the weekend we went to Great Windsor Park and saw this at the restaurant in Savill Court.

Oh dear :) that's cute but I wouldn't have had it figured as Christmas tree if I weren't told. But it still could pass as a beautiful decor.

I think they've found the point of fuckery beyond which a christmas tree stops looking like an actual plant was ever involved.

There a plenty of evergreen trees that start narrow at the base and get fatter towards the top. Wouldn't that achieve the same thing space-wise, and then you'd still have the fun of an actual tree all dressed up and looking jolly indoors, and not just an uncomfortably abstract and unstable-looking bristly green sculpture.

It's not really hilarious though, is it? Once you've seen it done once it's just "Oh, here's another boring wanker thinking they're being edgy"
