Present buying regrets

Is it too early for regrets?

I got carried along on the Bilibo train and now have two that I really don’t want. I know they’ll just clutter up my living room unused while DS complains about not being able to watch Paw Patrol if I encourage playing with them.

I’m currently trying to offload them on Facebook...!

Keep them. DC were given some and they annoyed the hell out of me until it snowed. They make great improvised sledges for downhill runs.

Mallowmarshmallow · 21/11/2017 13:56

Ooooh. Now that’s an idea....

Fingers crossed for snow..!

My youngest got hers when she was about 5 and is 14 now and still gets it out every now and then to sit in or let the dog play with.....

Store it in the garden that's where our one is :)

I did my wrapping at the weekend and generally think I’ve got ds1 a load of shite. His bday is a few days before Christmas and I’ve kept the bigger gifts for then, and don’t really want to change that. Oh well.

Glad I resisted the bilibos!

Soubriquet · 21/11/2017 16:37

I've just googled these...never heard of them before. But am I right in seeing they are £24 for a bit of plastic? Confused

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 21/11/2017 16:41

They were on the Christmas bargain thread. £12 on sale I think. I still passed Grin

Jedbartletforpresident · 21/11/2017 16:47

Keep them! We had 2 when my DC were young and they were a constant toy that they just kept coming back to - did 4 DC and only finally got rid of them 2 years ago when we moved house again and did a massive clear out

Lovemusic33 · 21/11/2017 17:04

I have stayed off the bargain threads this year and I don't think I have bought anything that I regret unlike previous years, I usually get way too carried away.

OP, I would keep them, ours got played with loads x

One of those sweet grabber things. He'll probably love it for a bit but it will drive me mad because it will take up loads of space GinGin

Annwithnoe · 21/11/2017 19:47

Put a bit of tape across the sound vent of the candy catcher or it will drive you crazy sooner than you think Wink

WaitingForSunday17 · 21/11/2017 20:12

What is the point of the bilibo thing?

KC225 · 22/11/2017 01:12

What is a sweet grabber?

Theresnonamesleft · 22/11/2017 01:48

I didn't have a clue either what they are. Google images, some kid has the bright idea. He's demonstrating everything you can do with the bilibo train by using a wash basket Grin
Sit in it. Put your toys in it. Stand on it. Make a table. Sit on it. lay under it. Put it on your head. Could even go sledging in it. Sorry, op.

We have two bilibos. My DC didn't know what to do with them when they initially received them (then aged around 6 and 3), but somehow they have been used a lot over the years. The DC (now 12 and 9) and especially their friends still enjoy bringing them out now and then, spinning round in them etc.
