Is anyone making presents?

I'm not particularly crafty, but can follow simple instructions ok! We're not big on xmas gifts here and I was thinking of making something for the DCs to pad theirs out a little.

Alternatively, I thought I might help each DC make something for the other - moon sand or play-dough, just something little and they can choose colours or whatever. There's actually loads on pinterest that is pretty simple, I even whipped up a batch this afternoon!

Is anyone else making presents for anyone?

sing yeah you have to cut it before you bake it, when it’s still soft.
There are loads of instructions on Pinterest!

pooooooop what paint is that to get such a glossy finish?

I used acrylic. The pic above isn’t mine, I pilfered it off Pinterest so not sure what they’re used.

I was thinking of trying poster paints as they’re cheaper but obvs won’t get the shine.

I used to paint my fingernails with poster paint and then go over them with clear nail varnish.... I wonder if that, or using ova glue over the top would work!

I have a batch o f mince meat maturing. If I get time, it will either be jarred up, or maybe even transformed into mince pies.

I have a blanket on the go that I started, um, at least 10 years ago. DAuntIL may never actually get it as there's still a lot to go before it's finished.

I have 3 crayon rolls, that the original recipients are too old for but only need 3 small seams and sewing on of 2 buttons to complete - so they will hopefully get to 3 DNieces this year.

I have oodles and oodles of materials and patterns for various projects, but life has got too busy in the past few years so crafting time has literally flown out the window. I am so proud of myself for finishing a project this year (a baby cardigan - literally just before the baby was born and I started it 7 months in advance!). Whereas when DD was born, and a couple of similar aged DCousins, I had made cardigans, blankets, beanie hats and all sorts.

I'm into needle felting, I'm thinking of needle felting either a cute soft toy or needle felting a picture of an owl on a flat piece of cloth and framing it for my friend.

Candle making

And what I REALLY want to do is get those clear resin jewelry molds and some dried flowers, leaves, ivy p, butterfly wings and make jewelry for people (and myself)
