I'm making my GF an advent calendar. What would you like to find in yours?

I bought a 25 door wooden drawer thingamybob from The Works and I want to put a bit of chocolate (maybe Lindt) and a little gift in each one.

What kind of small things would you like in yours for inspiration.

I ordered little card pillow boxes off ebay and wrapped the things which wouldn't fit in brown paper, on a colour theme decorated with lots of loveliness from The Works.

If you want perfume samples then look at Bloom or Perfume Society.

If it was me I'd like a mix of perfume, luxury chocolates, some nice personal touches (love the idea of an Xmas tree decoration), alcohol miniatures. Engagement ring for Xmas Eve, assuming she's OK with you choosing the ring.

Propose at one minute past midnight on Christmas Day ?

Have the advent gifts gradually going up in value or have I said something inappropriate ?

Would that give the game away ?

Have some fun/joke gifts as well ? Such as a single roses sweet/miniature heroes/ what she likes.

Think of the song, 'on the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me...' and get some ideas from that ? Or not ? I mean the final five days otherwise it could be chaos.

Propose over the champagne then let her choose her engagement ring on the internet/when the shops open after Christmas ?

Aw, what a lovely idea and you have some great things so far!
If you think she'd like it, you could also do traditional stocking tat/cracker things...novelties like those fortune telling fish or puzzles. See if you can find out from her family if there was something she always got in her stocking each year (e.g. I always get DS a soap on a rope and a Match Annual)

If you can't get Krispy Kreme vouchers, you could always write her out an IOU.

She doesn't have any family. That's why it's so important to me for us to have a great Christmas and build traditions.
