Stocking Ideas for dds 8 and 12

Hi, I really need to be more sensible this year. Need to save money and have less crap around!!

I normally just buy stuff (far to much) without really thinking what and fit it either in the stocking or if I doesn't fit in the Santa sack. This happens on Christmas eve when I am putting stuff out, no more thought goes into it.

They have proper stocking shaped stockings that they have had since they were born. Not massive but not small.

So 12 years later... I need some ideas what to put in here and then larger stuff for the sack.

Thanks

In the smaller stockings- smelly stuff (Asda do a lovely candy floss body spray for Younger dd, older could have an impulse/deodorant type). Bath bomb. Mini shower gel. Tube of sweets or choc coins. Pencils or stationery for school. Hairbands or scrunchies. A wee cuddly toy or Pom Pom keyring at the top.

Don’t do sacks here... but I’d guess a book or annual. New pjs or dressing gown maybe? Or a fleece or blanket for lounging.

My daughter is 8, and in her stocking will be:

1 large chocolate coin
Orange (obv!)
Magazine
Blind Bag
3 x Character underwear

I try to put something in them to leep them entertained whilst I wake up properly!

They have sacks which their main presents go in and around. This year will be a selection of Lego, books galore, a game or 2, a keyboard and she's asked for a password journal.

Brilliant, thank you. My older dd would love a fleece blanket.
Yes to Lego for the younger one, she would enjoy some that is her own!

Going to write the ideas down in my app now and get myself to AsdaSmile

I find the 12 year old hard as she wants to be grown up but isn't, if you know what I mean.

Sorry more questions. Any ideas on games that they might both enjoy?

We had dobble and a pig game (can't remember the name) last year. They were great and still played with regularly.

monopoly empire - great game and much quicker than the original

Sleeping queens and exploding kittens are both good card games (we prefer sleeping queens in this house) but they should both enjoy both and ideal size for a stocking.

Great thank. Ordered exploding kittens and made a list so will pick up bits when I can.
