What’s been your favourite Christmas advert?

I have loved the Sainsbury’s adverts over the last few years , for me, they have really got it ‘right’ and made me feel super Christmassy!

tootsie DM and I phone each other in a giddy tizz every year when one of us sees the coke trucks ad on!! I even remember her picking me up from school when I was 7ish and just yelling 'I SAW THE TRUCKS TODAY' and us both singing holidays are coming over and over in fits of giggles

Haha! We love the trucks, especially when the real truck came to our town!

I wasn’t a fan of the man on the moon as, agree it was too forced. The Aldi spoof was great though!

Sainsbury’s ones seem to have had a good message the last few years. JL is just a tad too try hard for me some years. Although bear and hare was lovely - we read the book weekly!

I love most the Christmas adverts. But the one I love the most by a country mile is the Coca Cola Holidays are Coming. Christmas doesn't offically start for me until its been broadcast

I'm not a big fan of the JL ones in all honestly. I don't like the breathy versions of classic songs.

I usually like the Sainsbury's one, but last years one wasn't as good.
Loved Aldis Kevin the Carrot though.

Also, a few years ago Sainsbury's did one where the mum and children were recording a message to dad who was in the army when he walked through the door. Had me in tears everytime...

rice it was when we were allowed get excited for Christmas too. Now that I think about it it was a bit odd since coke was banned in our house

The one with the girl coming home for Christmas...I can't even remember what it was for, it might even have been the Boots one (?). But she travels and travels and then her mum is so happy to see her - feels like there might have been some kind of family estrangement or something...anyone got a clue what I'm talking about?

Oh I cannot wait til the Christmas ads start.
They really make my Christmas I fill up just thinking about most of them.
Sainsbury's mog and no man's land were excellent. The John Lewis ads I don't care for so much.

Also the "Sophie? Where's your brother?" Aldi advert. 😂

Any leaks yet.?? Don't the YouTube leaks usually start before Halloween ? Getting way to invested in Christmas ads 🎅🤶

Kevin the Carrot was good.

I loved the penguin JL advert, Sainsburys Mog. I don't like the Man on the Moon one, it made me cry because it came out a couple of months after my gran died.

Sometimes I really love Youtube.

I was transported back with the Christmas Cornflakes advert!

A simpler time

Loved the JL snowman one. And Sainsburys Mog and no mans land.
Loved Aldi man on the moon version too.

Not keen on last years Sainsbos one sadly.

Winner last year was Waitrose's Robin advert though.

Just rewatched the JL one and I was a blubbering mess again. Bah.

John Lewis with the boy and the penguin. My god the first time I saw it I was in pieces and can’t watch it without feeling all warm and fuzzy and a bit teary even now.

The 2015 spanish christmas lottery one about the mannequin factory has to be my favourite (find it on youtube, it doesn't have any words so you don't need to speak spanish!!) Also the polish grandad visiting the uk for christmas and learning english! And John Lewis little boy one... aww!

Hands down the Chanel No 5 with the girl in the red dress and the wolf. The whole styling, music, colours.. everything is perfect.

Then the Asda one where the mum races around doing everything. Yes I know not every mum does all that but I bet it's true for a lot of people (rightly or wrongly).

Third is John Lewis The Bear & The Hare. I just love looking at it and listening to the soundtrack.

Fourth is the Sainsbury's Mog. The dcs love it.

Omg yes, the Sainsbury ones....the dad walking through the door made me absolutely sob (and still does) as I lost my Dad a couple of months before it came out, and I also loved the one in the trenches....so poignant! X
