Secret Santa £50 budget for a young, professional married couple. Any ideas other than gift vouchers?

Something you think they'll like from John Lewis with gift receipt. Dab radio / Alessi / kitchenware stuff.

Get the Vera Wang Wedgewood Love Knot champagne flutes. Gorgeous and will be used. Or you can get matching candle holders or photo frame.

Food and wine hamper ! I'm sure they probably have a lot of wedding gifts still new /unused.

The other items in the range are all cheaper but gorgeous and come in a lovely presentation box.

Lovely silver photo frame for wedding/holiday photo would be great, JL ideally with gift receipt! Has the benefit of multi-purpose, fits with lots of different taste in decor, and doesn't need to match anything else. Or a vase for flowers? (You could perhaps buy a bouquet to go in it if that's practical?) Again, doesn't need to match anything, and glass is universally tasteful.

Things to avoid: Lots of people bought us glassware, which is lovely but we have full sets as wedding gifts, and we now have so many glasses the dresser is full even having re-gifted some... We also got given at least 6 cheese boards, 3 camembert bakers, 4 sets of cheese knives, a cheese wire, etc etc. They're hard to store!

Those Vera, Wang flutes are awful! Kitsch!

SpiritedLondon · 30/09/2017 19:43

My issue with champagne flutes would be how often they would get used. Not often in my house. How about a subscription to a product like coffee? They only need to have a cafetière and can enjoy a different coffee each month. If you google it you can probably find a local roastery rather than using a big brand.
