So, what beauty advent calendar would you recommend this year?

I had the Selfridges one last year and had been really looking forward to it. Although there was some good stuff in there, it was generally a bit disappointing for the money and I wouldn't bother again. Can anyone recommend me a really good one?

FridayFreddo · 06/10/2017 08:59

Ah - the Body Shop oe is back so have bought one for dd. Yay!

Have looked on ebay and there are some Sanctuary ones from last year. Who des that - buys something, keeps it for a year, then ebays it??? Bonkers.

I had a look in Superdrug but they all looked a bit cheap to me.

I've been researching these all morning Blush

I want to buy for my mum, sister, teen dd and myself

I think I'll order the Asos one for my sister and I, and no7 for mum.

I've never bought one or seen them in RL, but I'm so excited just looking at them Shock

KeepItAsItIs · 21/10/2017 23:02

I LOVE the No7 one so am sticking with that. The only thing I never like is the body scrub as it stinks but everything else is great.

SymphonyofShadows · 24/10/2017 11:15

The No7 one is available to order now. I was on the waiting list and got an email this morning.

macnab · 24/10/2017 15:24

Does anyone know when the M&S one will actually be available? It just says "coming soon" on their website

macnab · 24/10/2017 15:55

Ok so I've just seen that the M&S one is out on 9th November. It looks fab, I like pretty much all the products in it! BUT... I'm not keen on M&S in general. The calendar is £35 when you spend £35 and I'm just not sure what I'd spend £35 on. If I were to buy a top or something and then when I tried it on at home it doesn't suit, could I get a refund on it but keep the calendar?? I know that's really cheeky Blush

I've never bought one, but now I really really want to try one. Has anyone ever had the LookFantastic box? It looks mysterious and beautiful.

macnab · 24/10/2017 16:26

The Look Fantastic one looks fab too, I just watched an 'unboxing' of it on YouTube!!

BewareOfDragons · 24/10/2017 18:05

I've ordered one for my upcoming birthday as a treat for myself. :)

Piccolino2 · 24/10/2017 19:29

I really want the Liberty one just don’t know if I can bring myself to stump up for it!!

SymphonyofShadows · 26/10/2017 00:45

macnab that used to work but I'm not sure whether they are wise to it now. They have some great stuff in the beauty dept in my local one so that is where I'll be heading.

ShiksaSista · 26/10/2017 11:17

2 years ago a asked for the Liberty calendar in lieu of gifts.
Amazing I used every single thing and it was perfect. The stuff is so well selected. I'm only just finishing the votary facial oil which I will buy myself in a few weeks. I had the Jo Malone calendar last year -was wasted on me as I think the range isn't as nice as it used to be.

My liberty calendar 2017 came this morning. I cannot wait till December 1st.

DD has already pawed through it an announced I will love it. Be interesting to see if I have an half opened Body Shop stuff in there after she's had a rummage Wink

Plipplops · 26/10/2017 17:57

L’Occitane for me :)

Piccolino2 · 26/10/2017 18:37

Liberty Advent Calendar sold out this morning. So glad I already ordered it. Roll in Dec 1st!

Piccolino2 · 26/10/2017 22:03

The M&S one looks awesome. I’m going to get that one for a friend as well as the NYX lip one (for a different friend). So many to choose from this year!

Nightmanagerfan · 09/11/2017 10:48

Reminder that the M&S calendar is out today - just ordered mine
