Where did you buy your Christmas Eve box?

I would like to buy one. Ideally personalised but don't have huge amounts to spend. Ideally it won't say Eve on it in case I decide to do it before or on Christmas morning. I'd like it to be big enough to store the baubles and decorations in the rest of the year.

@redexpat I love the idea of a wicker box... we have an old fortnum and mason one kicking around that would be perfect!

Thanks all. I was thinking I would keep it simple actually. A Christmassy box, some chocolates? Maybe a new ornament for the tree. Love the idea of a letter from the grumpy elf about their year. Might nick that.

We use a wicker basket that dm had kicking about in her shed. I line it with festive tissue paper and it gets used Dec 1st and Xmas Eve

Ours are from TK Maxx/Home Sense. They bring out their storage boxes in Christmas designs closer to Christmas, not particularly expensive and used to store decorations in the loft.

Saw these in QD today. They had 3 sizes at £3.49, £4.49 and £4.99. Felt sturdy and looked nice.

What is qd?

combatbarbie · 31/08/2017 20:24

We got ours from eBay, complete with names and choice of decoration

I've just bought one from Pixiedu5t on Facebook. Sure they said you could have any wording too and it's a large crate type box xx

I got one for DD on eBay £12.00 you need to assemble and paint it yourself but I thought for the personalisation it was a bargain and I'll enjoy the decorating anyway

Pinyata I like that but how do you assemble?

Wood glue I got from the pound shop and then I hammered in panel pins at all the joins just to give it that bit of extra support and hold it tight whilst drying
