Great thread. And I like your pinterest board.

Is putting your tree in a very big basket a thing then? Some of those trendy pinterest trees are lovely on top but then look like they are sitting in a bin.

Handbag Im trying desperately to pin the second red and white tree but its not working - thank you though!
73kitty I know Kirsty Allsop is a big fan of the tinsel so I will try and find some of her pics expecially for you
LtGreggs yes and in Zinc buckets it seems - I wonder of they are live trees/potted

Aww, thank you orange. Smile
I didn't know that about Kirsty, I watch all her Handmade Christmas specials too! Grin

I'm really excited for Christmas this year. Well, I am every year but usually I only get excited end of sept/October time, not June. But last year we moved so it all seemed like a bit of a blur, I can't wait to settle down and really enjoy it this year.

I always use tinsel. Tacky as it is - it just doesn't feel the same without it. Smile

smellylittleorange · 08/06/2017 19:05

I've added some suitably tinselly trees 🌲🌲🌲

You can not have a tree without tinsel

flapjackfairy · 08/06/2017 21:07

This is mine from last year. I have a real potted tree on a table as i have a window seat built into the bay window so no room on floor.
I bought new lights and think i may have had too many if such a thing is possible !
I am loving this thread btw

I love a perfectly coordinated tree, but mine always ends up covered in tinsel and all the old homemade / sentimental, completely mismatched ornaments I get out every year Grin

smellylittleorange · 08/06/2017 21:40

thanks flapjack have saved

Mine from last year. Mostly red, gold and ivory with the DC's homemade ones and some personalised ones too. Excuse DH's legs Grin

I will definitely join this thread!! Just came onto Christmas boards to cheer myself up as weather is completely miserable and grim.

I actually need to buy a new tree this year so this is great inspiration.

AnyFarrahFowler · 10/06/2017 16:30

LOVE Christmas trees! I always go plain white lights but this year I want to go retro and buy some multi-coloured lights like we had when we were kids 🎄

pawpatrol123 · 11/06/2017 08:28

Joining this thread! I have decided that I will be buying all new tree decorations this year so picking up ideas whilst looking at all the lovely trees.

smellylittleorange · 18/06/2017 22:21
