After the toy kitchen debacle of 2 years ago DH built the dolls' house on Thursday. However, I have to arrange all of the furniture in it and then sort-of wrap it in situ. I am very excited about playing with the furniture

Just waiting for DS to be firmly asleep so we can rescue go kart box from garage rafters where it has been hiding in plain sight for last 2 months.

Juanbablo · 24/12/2016 20:55

Dh is building a wooden kitchen. There's a lot of huffing and puffing going on!

gunting · 24/12/2016 20:56

DH is whipping up a little tikes car for DS

I'd imagine there is going to be plenty more to build tomorrow Xmas Grin

primarynoodle · 24/12/2016 20:57

I've just replaced dp's iPad screen! A few hairy moments but it's seems to work fantastically!

Dd is 5months so I will be you lot in a couple of years!

teacher54321 · 24/12/2016 21:00

2 years ago my DPs were staying on Christmas Eve and DH was at work until 2am. My poor dad had to build a wooden kitchen for ds's main present. My mum and I watched James Bond and ate mince pies whilst he cursed and swore 😂

FreeButtonBee · 24/12/2016 21:00

Did the playmobil last week (had a thread about it); DH did the wrapping on Saturday night so just a few bits and bobs today.

polkadotdelight · 24/12/2016 21:00

A toddler basketball net and stand but it was easy. Mil has bought a toot toot garage and wrapped it so thats a job for tomorrow.

MistyKnightsTwistout · 24/12/2016 21:22

We've got a kitchen to do. It took me 20 mins to get it out the bloody box!

Bauble16 · 24/12/2016 21:31

DH is building 2 scooters and a 4ft activity table. He's not impressed!

Newdad19 · 24/12/2016 21:32

We made the mistake of leaving a coupe car to Christmas eve last year so made a good effort to do it all this week...

a ridiculous kitchen from Asda (Bought from parents but would have been taken back if it was my cash! simply for the ridiculous-ness of how difficult it was to assemble).

A new bed and a paw patrol.scooter were 100x easier

soontobemrsmckeown · 24/12/2016 22:06

Lots of lego to build up once it's open but nothing to build before. 1st year ever :)

fruitpastille · 24/12/2016 22:17

Dh did an asda play kitchen a few years ago - very stressful! He was up till midnight with it. Lesson learned... On the plus side it is still played with most days.

maybeshesawomble · 24/12/2016 22:20

Just finished. Just about speaking to DH. Just...

cookieswirls · 24/12/2016 22:25

Good luck everyone 🎄

Soubriquet · 24/12/2016 22:27

Little tikes sit and stand skywalk

Took me over an hour Hmm

So, who is building toys tonight?
Sittingunderafrostysky · 24/12/2016 22:35

Ah, happy memories...Grin

Nothing this year, but we've had a trike, which was actually impossible and then wasn't used; a red bike, which took a week, loads of extra buts and a wonderful neighbour with a tool kit; and a table tennis table in the garage, on the Christmas Eve when it was minus 5°. Couldn't feel my fingers after that one.

Good luck.

Atticmatic · 24/12/2016 22:37

Hot wheels track just took me an hour, a ton of sweat and enough swearing to make me ashamed of myself Blush

amysmummy12345 · 25/12/2016 16:09

Well the frozen bike is going back to toysrus, chain guard cracked, a few bolts cross threaded and some snapped 😠
