Glitter wrapping paper. Looks so pretty .

I'm covered, it's in my hair, in my mouth, all over my clothes. The floor is covered. It's stuck to the table. The dog just wandered past fucking sparkling in the light.

It seemed like such a good idea at the time. Damm you to hell Tesco and your gold, glittery reindeer.

Not the evil Tesco glittering by reindeer wrapping paper! I bought that last year and used it to wrap up the last few presents on my bed on Xmas Eve. The bloody stuff went everywhere - there was more on the bed than on the presents!

Changing the sheets in the early hours of Christmas Morning was not part of my plan but it was that or turn into shimmering golden glitter monster fir the big day!

InfiniteSheldon · 14/12/2016 22:13

I had it last year too fucking awful

PaulAnkaTheDog · 14/12/2016 22:18

That fucking Tesco paper!!! Why isn't there a warning?! I decided to be all adult and shit this year: matching paper, tags, ribbons etc. Fuck that for a laugh.

HighDataUsage · 14/12/2016 22:45

i have someone I don't particularly connect with like, wibu to wrap their gift in said glittery paper? then also put glitter inside their card as a final festive flourish? Would that be too obviously passive aggressive?! Xmas Grin

Gingernaut · 15/12/2016 06:49

HighDataUsage no not at all.

If you want to spend time and money making Christmas a little more magical for a certain someone in your life, well that's what Christmas is for.

I got the glittery reindeer one last year. This year we've got glittery houses and dogs. The tape doesn't stick and there's glitter everywhere!

MarsBarsAreShrinking · 15/12/2016 08:17

Hahahahaha @ "the herpes of the craft world" Xmas Grin

Oh god, I am now scared to look at the presents in case they've all unwrapped themselves in the night Shock after so many of you have said that the sellotape doesn't stick!

Naturally there's still glitter everywhere this morning but it's growing on me! Better than the usual dog hair that covers everything!

I have a disabled child who is a wheelchair user. He has been coming home from special school for months now (i kid you not!)covered in glitter and glue and cut up snow made of glittery paper!
They are doing a sensory story that involves" snow " being blown around by a fan ! Along with lots of lovely xmas crafting.
His wheelchair is full of it and even gets into his nappy so when he gets home each night it is fun and games so i sympathise !!
He has fun though so dont really mind but i am permanantly covered in glitter these days!

bummymummy77 · 15/12/2016 12:23

Oh I forgot about how it doesn't stick. I had to go out and buy extra tape last year. Xmas Angry

PodgeBod · 17/12/2016 10:55

Shock I had this evil paper in my hands last night but decided against it. Feeling very glad about that now.

cravingcake · 17/12/2016 14:35

I thought it looked so lovely and innocent in the shop so got a roll. Wrapped 1 present to be sent to New Zealand in it and then decided to wrap all the other presents in same parcel in different normal non shedding glitter sellotape actually sticks to paper. The post will have shaken that up lovely so the whole parcel will just pour glitter when they open it Xmas Grin

Well it's not Christmas unless there's a bit of glitter

Sephipops · 26/12/2016 18:36

I unwrapped some presents which were wrapped up in the tesco paper. I forgot to wash my hands before changing my daughters nappy. She now has a vajazzle.

lurkingnonparent · 27/12/2016 10:56

My sister who I don't think likes me wrapped all her presents in this bastard paper. I was hosting. They have all gone home now but I fear it'll be glittery here until August...

ladymariner · 01/01/2017 21:28

I've used and received loads of this paper, I love it!!
