No one use it? I had a little look and there does not seem to be much choice of toys.

I use it but only for vouchers I've not had any problems it works for me.

MinnielovesMickey · 14/12/2016 18:48

I've been doing this for the last 5 years and will carry on, it's perfect for us as it's just treated like another direct debit, we've already started payments for next Xmas! The sooner you start paying the lower your payments will be dependant on how much your saving. Like PP we get the vouchers and use them in Argos and Toys r Us to get all the kids stuff. I've added Sainsbury's vouchers on next years so I can buy all the food too and know everything is paid for, it's fab!

I have a separate savings account £40 a month is transferred automatically. That way I can get bits from eBay /aliexpress or wherever.
It works for me as I ignore it the rest of the year.

I use it for high street vouchers every year. Plus this year added Amazon vouchers. I'd be screwed if I didn't do it every year.

DragonMamma · 14/12/2016 19:29

I always used to buy found the paper vouchers restrictive.

I've signed up again for next year as they use gift cards and I've also added Amazon and M&S

ghostspirit · 14/12/2016 19:33

Ah ok so I could buyou say 500 pounds worth of argis vouches get them paid of. Have them sent to me them in argos for xmas...never thought of that Smile

I get the love to shop vouchers. It takes the sting out of paying for Christmas.

MsHybridFanGirl · 14/12/2016 22:16

OP - you can get vouchers/gift cards for high street/online shops so you're not limited to one place.

I've used them once and am considering signing up for next year . . I had some Love2Shop vouchers which I used in Argos to pay for gift cards for some shops not covered in the scheme which was sneaky but handy! Then bought presents etc in those other shops.

ghostspirit · 14/12/2016 22:50

Thank you. As soon as xmas is done in will sign up. Smile

What's good is if you sign up to pay £500 but only manage to save £300 for whatever reason then they just send you £300, it's not set in stone and can be changed anytime through the year.

We've always used love2shop vouchers but as other posters have said they can be restrictive if you want a specific shop and they don't cover it so we have also added the amazon card so we have a bit more choice.

You won't regret saving for next Christmas, it really takes the pressure off and so exciting when all your vouchers come! happy saving!

We've done it for 4 years now. Always get the love to shop card so we can spend in most shops. They even do prepaid MasterCards now so you can buy online too. I absolutely love park. They are much more tightly regulated than that other company that went bust some years back. (I know someone always jumps on these threads and says about that! If we put money into a normal savings account we'd just dip into it and use it, we have no willpower but park keeps it safe for us and pays out for Christmas so we're never stuck)!

I couldn't give them my money and have them earn the interest on it - I'd have to squirrel it away somewhere either in a biscuit tin, or in another account.

Then look for offers where you can buy (for example) a £20 gift card for £19 - and buy through cashback sites etc.
