VLC with retired parents but should get them something

I'm working through issues of an emotionally neglectful childhood, so am currently very low contact (VLC) with my parents. I have spoken to my mother once since last Christmas on her birthday, and my father not since the summer (we saw each other at his family's).

I can't face having a "what would you like" conversation with them, but I don't know what they want and I don't know what their interests are. They have both retired since I last had a proper conversation with either of them. They have always been quite introverted and don't drink. No interests in sports or similar.

They are very comfortably off and we are not - joint budget maybe £30. The present(s) would need posting as I am obviously not going to see them.

She takes an interest in the garden but isn't a gardener exactly. He runs a lot but we got running things for him last year.

I am stuck, and since I can't ask for suggestions it's winding me up more than I need. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance x

Why are you buying them anything at all? Or if you are such low contact why be so concerned about what you are buying them? If you feel you must then maybe some small luxury food gift? Truffle oil, that kind of thing?

Says you have thought of them without being too personal.

I have used this company before and they have always been excellent.

It's a good point, Purple. I'm getting them something because I'm not in a place where I can neglect to do so. This is partly to reduce the possibility of drama - and the backlash to very supportive DSibling.

I'm trying to expend as little effort as possible, mind you!

Food is awkward because of faddy diet which changes often.

Those narcissi are lovely but (1) LOL at sending a narcissist narcissi and (2) she hates yellow flowers. I'll bookmark for future reference though, as MIL would just love them. Thanks

They also reminded me of I have previously bought, so I'm going searching now.
