So I never had a stocking as a child. We did Christmas on Christmas Eve.

This year, I'm in charge of this bit. H has got all the bigger gifts.

What sort of things? A book? They've got Top Trumps, Pass the Pigs etc.

Help! They might end up with a satsuma each.

Pens, notebook, chocolate santa/Christmas themed lollipop/coins, lip balms, mini cans of fizzy drinks go down well with mine as they only get them as treats, I've put Pom poms in for my girls to put on their book bags this year, a spider man window crawler thing for DS, one of those hot chocolate stick things, slinky springy thing etc. I love doing stockings they're my favourite bit!

Oooooh inspirational Fox. Thanks.

My dd is easy. She's 9 and loves stationery.

I have 3 dss who are a bit trickier, I find.

I agree girls are much easier for stockings! Maybe toy cars, match attacks, lynx for the eldest, shower gel/matey bubble bath, mini water guns, new underpants/socks, snowball splat ball?

winkywinkola · 04/12/2016 11:34

Oh and do you wrap each one ?

Stockings are the best bit! DS 4 is getting...play handcuffs, pot of slime, magic tree, kinder egg santa, dinosaur excavation kit, a hex bug, a little beany Olaf, a couple of books, some paw patrol socks, blow pens. And likely to find some other bits and bobs before the day!

Equimum · 04/12/2016 22:44

DS1 here is 4. Things we have bought that have not already been mentioned include:-
Projector torch, National Trust 50 things to do before you are 11 3/4, giant magnet, magnifying glass & Schleich animals

buckeejit · 04/12/2016 22:50

Some good ideas here! We're at in laws this year so thinking we'll need to change tack this year & do stockings. Bouncy balls & balloons always go down well here, like the mini fizzy drinks-food will feature highly in ours. Always a satsuma for Christmas here too!

Mine have a book each ..Tom Sawyer for DD 12 and a David Walliams for DD 8. They will have lip balms, sweets....I fill mine quite a lot with tubes of chocolate etc....then I will usually add a Christmas necklace or fun earrings...as well as pens and notebooks....maybe some mini puzzles.
