We always have a real tree but will be away for a lot of December this year so seems a bit of a waste. What could I alternatively hang baubles and lights on? No artificial trees allowed and needs to be small as we're squeezed for space

Do you have any large pot plants that might do? In a previous job we decorated a large cactus with tinsel as that was what was available. Otherwise some sort of a twiggy collection in a pot?

you need one of these. So do I for that matter. Spent the last few days trying to find a cheap one to buy. Hopefully you are handier at creative stuff than I am!

or how about one of these? A bargain at nearly £40 for half a plastic tree.

beat you to it, Keepcalm!
Though if you can tell me where to get one I will be well pleased as imagine making one of these more faff than putting a tree up and down.

Get a twig tree.I bought a gorgeous one from the range it is brown but has snowy branches, I have it in my dining room with lots of lovely baubles. It's great for decorations without taking up space.

You can get those wall hanging stick tree things in Cox and Cox (Google it) and also John Lewis does a white version. The Cox and Cox ones are nicer I think.

Cox and cox looks amazing! They're sold out now but I will keep an eye out..
